Vance: Trump Would Veto a National Abortion Ban
Breitbart ^ | 08/25/2024 | Pam Key

Posted on 08/25/2024 7:55:56 AM PDT by ChicagoConservative27

Senator JD Vance (R-OH) said Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press” that Donald Trump would veto a national abortion ban if it were passed in his second term.

Host Kristen Welker said, “It’s being talked about on the campaign trail, abortion. Democrats made the case this week and beyond this week that Donald Trump, if elected, will impose a federal ban on abortion. Donald Trump says he won’t, but can you commit, senator, sitting right here with me today, that if you and Donald Trump are elected that, you will not impose a federal ban on abortion?”

The President respects federalism.
The USSC put this on the states.

Why don’t these media a&$holes ever force the other side to “commit” to anything. It’s so blatantly partisan.

It can never pass anyway in the current politics.
It’s on the list of made up Democrat issues.
Project 2025,cut social security and Medicare, kow tow to dictators, raise taxes and no plan to help the middle class.

All that made up crap is all they have.

"Exception of Lindsey Graham who is probably pissed."

Only because (s)he can't use it like 2022 to gin up turnout on the left to suppress potential incoming members of Congress who might not be conducive to shoveling endless amounts of taxpayer money into foreign laundromats.

Typical media interview:

Media: Would he veto it?
Vance: Yes, he would veto it.
Media: But, would he veto it?
Vance: He would veto it.
Media: Will you confirm right now, that he would veto it?
Vance: I will confirm right now, that he would veto it.
Media: But if Congress passed a federal ban, would he veto it?
Vance: He would veto it.

Actually, if anyone believed the Kamala Walz rhetoric, democrats and minorities wouldn’t vote for them.

That may be happening. It was always my theory the democrats suffered big losses after Bill Clinton moved to the middle.

Because if you’re going to talk like the other party, what’s your reason for existing?

For 50 years, Christians (of which I am one) prayed, protested and marched for Roe V. Wade to be overturned, and the issue be returned to the states

Now it has.

And now we are disappointed to learn that many states are as secularized, immoral and corrupt as Fed.gov.

Now some want to simply “federalize” it again by creating a national ban.

Mexico and Canada will happily and profitably exterminate otherwise future Americans.

Only three issues interest the dims.
1-Abortion (must be their main vehicle for laundering tax payers money?)
2-Destroying any semblance of representative government and replacing it with complete government control.
3- OPM. Can’t do the first two without. We are funding our own demise.

And now we are disappointed to learn that many states are even more immoral and corrupt than the Fed.gov.

At long last, it is in the states now. Where it should stay until it is finally eliminated/extirpated.

"I'm glad this was put to bed."

I would not place a bet on that.

The Democrats and the media will just keep repeating the talking point that if Trump is elected he will impose a national abortion ban.

Sadly, that is true.

If this is now an issue of each state, as decided by SCOTUS, can Congress still try for anything national relating to abortion?

Please don’t take it presonally. Canada is happy to kill Canadians in the womb as well. Oh, and the elderly, and anyone depressed, or just not wanting to live at any given moment. We’re the DEI of the death cult up here.

“All that made up crap is all they have.”

It is always the same. In another month they will, once again, breathlessly claim that white folks are coming to kill black folks if they don’t vote democrat. They will be panicking and bleating on black AM radio. Hopefully, urban blacks have seen the light, based on democrats recent behavior and will stop being the useful idiots of the left.

Pills allow women who are willing to risk massive bleeding and stay close to a hospital for about 14 days to abort (i.e. murder) children that have recently been conceived. The federal government has never been able to effectively control the illegal trade in pills.

I certainly hope that aborting children shortly before birth becomes merely historical. The legislature of the State of New York should be deeply ashamed of its wanton disrespect for human life.

I am concerned that murder will no longer be a crime since no one has a right to life. I see murder being defined as a State’s issue and the States could just as easily not make murder a crime under a viewpoint that no one has a right to life.
