Trump’s position is and seems to always have been that there should be no federal abortion laws, pro or against. I’m fine with that. The abortion battle should be fought in the states.
Exactly
The problem for him is that the US Postal Service is a Constitutionally authorized function.
I agree that abortion should be decided state by state... BUT I also believe that it is the obligation of the chief executive officer to enforce the law whether they agree with it or not.
If you don’t like the law change it, but until it is changed I expect a president to keep their oath of office

Totally of your opinion.
Win now. Argue later.
If it is taking of human life then it must be stopped, if it is just a medical procedure then proceed as you are.
the only way to win the battle culturally is on the state level...we need to change morays and that does not happen anywhere but on the local side. if you try and federalize the issue it can backfire really bad. the abortion issue is not going to be won in the courts it will be won in how we deal with each other and convincing society that it is wrong to the point where a ban is supported by at least 75 percent of the population. the majority rules simply mean a back and forth with the laws
The abortion battle should be fought in the states.

You think so? Then why is Trump enabling the states to increase abortions as he is using the USPS to allow abortion pills to be mailed. Mailed by the federal Government.
Which is precisely what conservatives were arguing for years. Getting sick of “our side” giving the idiots ammo on this issue.

A fat lot of good that does unborn children in blue states and red states whose pro-life voters were tricked into voting for abortion via misleading language in the referenda. You're either for protecting innocent life or you're not.
After Roe was reversed, the focus of pro-life efforts should no longer be political but cultural.
If they win the cultural battle, the political one will follow, if they lose the cultural battle, then they will lose all of their political victories any way.
