CLAIM: Former President Barack Obama suggested during his Democratic National Convention (DNC) speech Tuesday that former President Donald Trump and his Republican supporters — or as Obama called them, the “other side” — believe generosity is for “suckers.”
VERDICT: FALSE. Statistically, Republicans are actually among the “heaviest” givers.
Obama — who largely obsessed over Trump during his divisive speech to Democrats on Tuesday night, demonizing him and his supporters with surface level jabs — also attempted to cast the vision of the Democratic Party.

Republicans understand there is a big difference between personal generosity and government handouts. Democrats don’t make any money or gain any power when Republicans make private donations to a wide number of causes. The Democrats are generous with Other People’s Money.
Red states are more charitable than blue states.

Conservatives help their fellow man because they believe in God and doing the right, ethical, kind and generous thing.
Liberals don’t help because Government is their God and they believe Government will provide everything people need.
Get this. It was 2009. I was at my cousin’s apartment for a party. And her children started chanting Obama Obama. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing and hearing
it’s plenty easy to be ‘generous’ when you are using taxpayer dollars to do so...

Conservatives are much, much more generous with not only their money, but also their time, to help the poor and needy vs. the Left/Democrats.

After taking him through several more steps that ended with everybody who had not already left being forced to work for the mayor for what ever hiz dishonor decided was "their fair share" he decided that maybe he should look into it a bit more.

Annnd.....let’s not forget how many tax cheats Obama had in his administration, thus proving that ... forget charity, the Democrats don’t even believe in paying their fair share... while demanding that “others” do.

It’s not “generosity” when it’s taken by force of government.
I still believe that's why the Democrats fought so hard during George W. Bush's administration to use the cover of "separation of church and state" to get rid of what they called "faith-based charities." They got rid of "soup kitchens" for the poor and homeless that were run by Christian charities because they wanted those private donations to be made to government programs instead. Community "food banks" popped up in their place.
