ISLAMABAD: Afghanistan’s interim government on Tuesday angrily reacted to remarks by Pakistan’s special representative Asif Khan Durrani, in which he claimed that another 9/11 could “originate from Afghanistan.”
Ambassador Durrani, speaking at the ‘Ambassadors’ Lounge’ this week spoke about the presence of different armed groups, including the Islamic State Khorasan Province (Daesh), and described these groups as a major challenge for the region and the world.
When Ambassador Durrani was asked what the implications would be for the international community if it ends up Afghanistan as a forgotten crisis and if the international community failed to live up to the expectations. Durrani said, “I think it can push Afghanistan back to pre-9/11 conditions, and, which in fact, then give birth to 9/11”.
Ambassador Durrani warned that if the economic situation continues to deteriorate in Afghanistan, he thinks people in Afghanistan would start leaving the country and their most favourite destination is Pakistan.
“This is something we should be sensitive about, and the international community should know their responsibilities,” he said.

Why didn’t Durrani just say, “Am I my brother’s keeper?”
Afghanistan interim government was so mad about Pakistan’s 9/11 comments that it hijacked for airliners and few them into Karachi.
“This is something we should be sensitive about, and the international community should know their responsibilities,” Why is it a responsibility of the international community aka the USA for their Schiff hole country? We have a lot of problems and we’re broke!
Firstly - "Durrani" is a Pashtun name and the Pashtuns are split between Pakistan and Afghanistan
and 39 million Pashtuns live in Paksitan vs 20 Million living in Afghanistan. They were split by the british Durand line
Secondly the Durranis are descendents of the founder of the Durrani empire which basically created "Afghanistan" in the 19th century
And it lasted for barely a century - constantly shrinking
Thirdly - the Pakis are looking for money - they got money from the USA as a front-line against the soviets in the 80s, then the talibs in the early 2000s
