I’m not sure I understand what point you are making. You appear to be trying to show how much inflation has impacted prices from 16 years ago. At a modest long term average rate of annual inflation of 3%, that amounts to a 48% increase in prices since 2008 - not unusual at all.
You’d be better off arguing that the overall increase in prices since Biden/Harris took office in 2021 is about 18% over 3 years, which equates to an annual average inflation rate of 6% - twice the normal rate I cited above. And better yet, compare that to inflation during the Trump years, which was well below 2%.
