Well, this is sorta embarrassing.
After all that loose talk about Russia for some strange reason, blowing up its own cash cow Nord Stream pipeline, it turns out that the Ukrainian military and some oligarchs from the country did the dirty deed with the knowledge of Zelinskyy, the CIA, and the highest levels of both governments.
It's an odd tale told by the Wall Street Journal, and the German police have been quietly investigating the bombing for two years despite political pressure to hide the facts, and their investigation backs up what the Journal has found.
What makes it all so complicated is that Ukrainians, including their top military commander, planned and executed an attack on NATO territory, causing immense economic damage to NATO countries.

That would be interesting. But since Russia owns over 50% of Nordstream I’m not sure this counts. They are entitled to blow up their own stuff. 🤣

More importantly, should North Korea invoke Article 4 of the NORK/Russian military pact? The NORKS have a highly trained 1,000,000 man standing army.
According to Article 4 of the treaty that Kim and Putin signed on June 19, North Korea and Russia “shall immediately provide military and other assistance” to the other party if it “falls into a state of war due to armed invasion from an individual or multiple states.” The treaty stipulates that the assistance must be in accordance with Article 51 of the UN Charter, which preserves the right to “individual or collective self-defense” in response to an armed attack against a UN member.
Putin told reporters after the summit that the treaty represents a “breakthrough” in Russia’s relationship with North Korea and a “new level” of strategic partnership between the two countries. Putin last visited North Korea 24 years ago, although he did meet with Kim in September 2023 near Vladivostok. (See ACT, October 2023.)
All those North Koreans and their weapons and ammo are less than a weeks train ride away. They aren’t a sub infested ocean and a continent away.

Here is the fun part. Since Germany is a junior partner in NATO and reliant on US strength for her security, the US can slap them around and tell them they have no choice but to take their lumps and smile when their precious pipeline gets blown up.
