An Israeli crowd led by hard-right politician Itamar Ben-Gvir stormed Jerusalem's most holy site today in a pilgrimage seen by Muslims as provocative.
The move launches a fresh challenge to rules covering one of the most sensitive sites in the Middle East - with tensions over the compound fuelling violence before.
The Palestinian Foreign Ministry condemned the visit as a 'provocative intrusion' that endangered the fragile status quo regarding the Jerusalem compound.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu quickly denied there would be any change to rules that prohibit Jews from praying at the site, which is holy to both Muslims and Jews, and rebuked Ben-Gvir, the national security minister...
The remarks, during a visit to the complex to mark the Jewish day of mourning for the destruction of the ancient temples, come at an especially sensitive time, with the war in Gaza at risk of escalating into a wider conflict, potentially drawing in Iran and its regional proxies.

So. Now that American forces are a shield between Israel and Iran, ready to take the brunt of Iran's attacks, I guess some Israelis feel it's safe for them to provoke a war with Iran. And drag the U.S. into fighting their war.
That is blithering BS. Iran has hosted Hezzie rocket attacks for months.
If your neighbor hosts a meth party in their backyard and the dope heads toss Molotovs over the fence — your neighbor deserves any ‘Ell he can receive.
And how do Ben-Gvir's actions protect Israel from rockets?
It doesn't.
It needlessly escalates tensions, making it more likely that America will be dragged into another Mideast war.
If Israel were on its own, paying its own way, I wouldn't care what they do. But they and their lobby keep dragging us into their fights.
America First? How awful!
>>>Typical Fascist angelino97. Is he still using “US first” mask?
____
Sure.
Anything Muslim isn’t holy.
Shut up, moron. Jews praying on the holiest Jewish land is not “provoking” Iran, which has nothing to do with Jerusalem
Did you have an extra helping of “dumbass” this morning?
Give it time. The Dome of the Crock will come down to make room for the third temple.
Coverage of Temple Mount visit is pretty good at INN. Hardly a storming.

Israel is not letting American forces shield them from Iran's attacks. Only G-d will protect them, summoned by our collective prayers.

Byzantine historian Procopius wrote that the church was built in 560 AD and burned down by the Persians in 614. Later after the Muslim conquest of the Holy Land, this church eventually was converted into what is the present day Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The Al-Aqsa Mosque was built 20 years after the Dome of the Rock, which was built in 691-692 by Khalif Abd El Malik (the name "Omar Mosque" is therefore false). Therefore, in or around 711, or about 80 years after Mohammed died, Malik's son, Abd El-Wahd (who ruled from 705-715) reconstructed the Christian- Byzantine Church of St. Mary and converted it into a mosque. He left the structure as it was, a typical Byzantine "basilica" structure with a row of pillars on either side of the rectangular "ship" in the center. All he added was an onion-like dome on top of the building to make it look like a mosque. He then named it El-Aqsa, so it would sound like the one mentioned in the Koran.
That’ll get razed, too.
Right to Pray at their Most Holy Site.
Here’s The Deal imo: Israel gets their Most Holy Site, and, Islam gets to keep their Most Holy Site...
