The Pennsylvania Department of State recently announced that the results of the state’s upcoming election may not be available on election night.
The department emphasized in a social media post that delays in counting are expected, stating, “Pennsylvanians won’t always know the final results of all races on election night. Any changes in results that occur as counties continue to count ballots are not evidence that an election is ‘rigged.’”
The post also directed readers to a website focused on fact-checking information related to Pennsylvania’s election process.
This announcement recalls the 2020 election, where early results initially suggested a lead for then-President Donald Trump. However, as mail-in ballots were counted, the race shifted in favor of Joe Biden, who was ultimately declared the winner in Pennsylvania. The extended counting process frustrated many observers who felt that election results should be available promptly after polls close.
Efforts to expedite the ballot counting process were discussed in Pennsylvania’s legislature, but no legislation allowing for pre-canvassing of ballots—an action that could have accelerated the process—was passed before the legislative session ended. Although the Pennsylvania House of Representatives approved a related initiative in May, it did not progress further, according to reports from The Washington Post.

As a critical battleground state, Pennsylvania’s 19 electoral votes are likely to be pivotal in determining the outcome of the presidential race. If the election is closely contested, it may take several days before the final results are known, especially if Pennsylvania’s vote is a deciding factor.
Rachel Orey, an elections expert with the Bipartisan Policy Center, noted the potential for delays, explaining, “If the electoral college comes down to Pennsylvania or Wisconsin, we might still face a long period where we don’t know the winner.”
Polls have shown former President Trump maintaining a lead over President Biden in Pennsylvania throughout the year, though his advantage has narrowed when compared to Vice President Kamala Harris. An August poll from Trafalgar had Trump ahead by two points against Harris, while a New York Times/Siena poll showed Harris leading by four points, indicating that the race in Pennsylvania could be extremely close.
Here we go...
Anything can happen. They may be trying to find ways to cancel the election so they can complete their coup in process.
This is UNACCEPTABLE !!
States like Florida, with almost twice the population of Pennsylvania is able to provide the result of the election ON THE SAME NIGHT.
Why can’t Pennsylvania do it? And oh yeah, they were able to do it in the past ... what makes 2024 different?
This sounds like a smokescreen for future chicanery.
Third world countries can have results on the day, too.
1. We know that they’re going to try to steal the election.
2. They know that we know that they’re going to try to steal the election.
3. We know that they know that we know that they’re going to try to steal the election.
4. I just want to know how the Republicans are going to keep them from stealing the election.
Decades ago, when some places still used paper ballots , we had results that night or the next day.
Nowadays with electronic voting machines and a computer scan sheet type ballots, it takes weeks to report results.
Does anyone else think this sounds contradictory? With automated and electronic systems,, shouldn’t we get information that much more quickly than we did in the old days ,,when ballots had to be counted by hand?
But we’re not sure how many votes we’re gonna need!
Lara Trump, was on TV tonight, and said they have record numbers of poll, watchers, and they are hiring record numbers of attorneys.
My mother was a GOP poll-watcher, canvasser, and poll-worker from the late 1940s to nearly 1990 in NY State.
My earliest memories were of the large analogue voting machines and also paper ballots, as I would see her “at work” every election, local or national.
On national election night, should would always be home around 10 PM and NY’s results would always be announced before 11 PM. There were never any problems which prevented it.
However, mail in ballots are ripe for fraud.
Absentee ballots with the voter having a good reason to not vote in person are the only ones that should be mailed in.
Don't believe anything the government tells you until it has been officially denied.
What’s the GOP and Donald Trump gonna do about it?
So the government fact checked itself and found no evidence of wrongdoing.
How convenient.
You can NEVER rush clever cheating.
5. Repukelickens are in on it and will do nothing.
Deja vu all over again. 🙄
They actually used the R word. They are worried.
