Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass said her city is working to make the Summer Olympic games car-free when they’re held in her city in 2028.
“We’re already working to create jobs by expanding our public transportation system in order for us to have a no-car Games,” she said in a Saturday release. “And that’s a feat for Los Angeles, as we’ve always been in love with our cars. We’re working to ensure that we can build a greener Los Angeles.”

This will be reversed just like the “No Air Conditioning” diktat was reversed in Paris.
It is sheer and utter lunacy to think you can hold an Olympics in Los Angeles without cars. Are they going to issue complementary bicycles to all athletes, judges, workers, and visitors?
He’s full of it anyway, they’ll just push the parking lots further out.

More like spectator-free Olympics. Competitors and visitors stuck in emergency rooms for days after muggings.
I pay no attention to the Olympics. NBC, LaBraun James, Snoop Dog, etc. is all I need to know that I must give it a good leaving alone. I used to watch it all but no more....

Yes, it is. Very good at that. I’ve been there twice to visit relatives and sightsee during the ‘70s. I loved it, had a great time. It’s just not the same anymore, many towns have lost their culture and heritage. Just what the socialists in this country want.
