Kamala Harris and Tim Walz rallied a packed arena outside Phoenix, Arizona, on Friday – drawing perhaps the largest Democratic crowd of the election cycle this year.
The presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, her running mate and the local leaders who joined them on stage whipped up the crowd, discussing immigration, abortion rights and Indigenous sovereignty.
Noting the Indigenous leaders in the room, Harris also said: “I will always honor tribal sovereignty and respect tribal self-determination.” Indigenous voters are credited with helping deliver Arizona to Joe Biden in 2020; the state is home to 22 federally recognized tribes.
At one point during her speech, Harris was interrupted by protesters chanting “free, free Palestine” and other messages in support of Gaza. She stopped her speech to address the protesters.
“We’re here to fight for our democracy, which includes respecting the voices that I think we are hearing from. Let me just speak to that for a moment and then I’ll get back to the business at hand,” she said. “I have been clear: now is the time to get a ceasefire deal and get the hostage deal done. Now is the time. And the president and I are working around the clock every day to get that ceasefire deal done and bring the hostages home.” Her statement represented a noticeable change in tone from her approach to Gaza protesters in Detroit on Thursday.

15000 in a room that holds 20000 isn’t a ‘packed crowd”.
How many were local Democrat/communist officials?
The Guardian lies. It wasn’t packed. The interwebs has pictures of many sections “blacked out” to make it look more full.
There were a lot of people there for a Demon Rat party event, don’t get me wrong, but it wasn’t packed.
One interweb guy supposedly did some electronic tracking of cell phone data and found lots of the signatures came from individuals that are normally far far away from the site of the rally...which, if true, means people were coming from other sites to “fill up” the room.
astroturf.
You got that right.
Ahem, correction: Harris is a hoe!
I have heard this is true but have not seen the pictures. Very careful staging.
In the 2 weeks since she was selected the “nominee” sure thing— it is wearing off FRiend, rather quickly and notably within the demonrat machinery. Cracks in the team— because the leader is a dolt and obamaumao cannot put humpty dumpty back in her shell, and they are noting the rather gaping holes in the walz “nomination”.
The point is being made in all demonrat pubs— that this nominee was not decided by primary— not ever, not in 2020 either.
Not a Navaho or an Arapaho. A Jamaicanho.
LMAO, good one!

That ain't no thang.
They can get a packed house (pardon the pun) in any capital or large population center just by requiring all the bureaucRATs to attend. There are millions of the overpaid/do nothing leaches.
Government "employees" are the ultimate welfare class.
I was born and raised in Bremerton, and still live here but in the boonies around Centralia. The Natives were also given the right to open stores, and open malls where they can collect sales tax, and keep it as income. Cigarette tax? Booze tax? They stopped the private clubs from allowing smoking, because it cut into Native casino business.
