If you think about ulterior motives, one good theory is to ignore the media polls and question what the internal polling by the very smart wonks are. If they basically see Trump as winning and they can’t cut his feet out from under him like they have tried so many times, then they could need to turn the tables and claim “widespread” election irregularities.
Good point. And consistent with the practice of accusing the other side of that which they themselves are guilty.
