Facial recognition technology will soon be enabled at every security checkpoint inside Abu Dhabi’s Zayed International Airport ...
The Smart Travel project, currently being implemented inside the futuristic flight hub serving the capital of the wealthy United Arab Emirates, will replace the traditional screening process — and the whipping out of travel documents, like a passport or ID card.
...
The capability will reportedly also be implemented at duty-free shops, lounges and boarding gates as well.
The goal is to have the biometric concept — which has courted controversy in the United States — fully running in 2025 at nine locations.
Some parts of the airport have already incorporated the tech, as has Etihad Airways, Abu Dhabi’s hometown carrier.
...
“It’s designed with no pre-enrollment required, passengers are automatically recognized and authenticated as they move through the airport, significantly speeding up the entire process
...
In the U.S., where the TSA announced a planned rollout in more than 400 American airports, backlash over the concept has largely been related to privacy concerns.
...
The TSA program is a precursor to a full-blown national surveillance state,” Oregon Senator Jeff Merkley.
“Nothing could be more damaging to our national values of privacy and freedom. No government should be trusted with this power.”

[duty-free shops]
I like to shop
at the duty-free shop
Then some Freepers showed up in early 2020: " "*derp* We gotta give up some of our Freedoms 'r else the virus wins *derp*"
Seems like there's a pattern and it only ratchets one way.
How long until Western Nations start requiring facial recognition to buy food like China?
THIS will be the ultimate control over “world citizens” - FOOD
TPTB WILL use control over food to control people. Social Credit scores - China-style. It is ALREADY happening in China. This video is from December, 2023:
It won’t matter if someone has $400,000-$500,000 in the bank. It won’t matter if somebody has a job paying $150,000 a year. You WILL submit to the Social Credit Score System and you WILL exhibit and parrot Party Doctrine or you WILL be cast aside and forced to buy food on the streets. Oh, and your finances WILL be tracked with Digital Currency, etc. (for the thread)
China...No Digital ID...Can’t buy food!

Oops AND access to one’s MONEY
If anyone has had Global entry, you’ll already know that facial ID at the airport, is and has been a “thing” for quite some time now, my first experience with it was in 2019 and I’m sure it goes back further.
When I leave Frankfurt Germany and land in Orlando, the Germans ID me with a camera as I walk on the plane(don’t even have to show a ticket), when I land I walk past the line to the front, Immigration halts me for about 5 seconds as I look into a camera. At that point, I’m in and on my way.
The difference between handing someone your passport, they look at you, then hand it back, is exactly what?
You’re at an airport. You have zero expectation of privacy. I have no doubt they have general “walkway” cameras picking out faces too. So what. You’re going to have to show ID at some point to prove who you are and why you are there.
“Oh, but they store it in a database”. Yup. They do that anyway with your driver license and any other pile of IDs you have.
If you haven’t figured it out yet, privacy is over and has been for some time now. I don’t have to like it to realize it for what it is.
Everything changed on 09/11/2001
And it will never go back to what it was

Just give them a separate ballot with their fingerprints on it and a record of who they voted for. Accurate? Accurate enough.
Seems I’ve read about a system like that somewhere.
And it will never go back to what it was
Almost exactly the words I said to my wife the morning of 9/11 as I watched the towers fall on TV. The moment I saw that, I said that the world just changed forever, and that we were at war.
The technology allows bad people to more easily slip through security.
I boarded a plane in Atlanta for Peru they said no boarding pass or passport needed. Just look into camera. It recognized me and I got on the flight. I prefer to show my papers.
The stazi would have gone AP€$}{!T to have had this technology.
The amusing part is that facial recognition does not work well on black’s faces. Whites and paler type Asians, no problemo. So if blacks stage a fight scene at Spirit airlines, it will be difficult to ID them.
The scummy-leftist UK police are going after native Brits with a vengeance. Those who have stood up (taken to the streets) against migrant housing in their neighborhoods. Against Muslim mobs that have been arming themselves with knives and machetes. The police are using facial recognition. I am fairly sure Ireland is doing the same
They already use this at the Dubai airport. That’s why it’s so quick and easy to get in and out there.
Osama Bin Ladens operation only cost them $500000. The most leveraged military strike in history. Due to all the wars, loss of our civil liberties, spying on us, and other bad things that have resulted from it. Such as the Washington DC Leviathan, national security state. I despised Bill Clinton. But his presidency was a golden age of good humor, good spirits, and widely distributed prosperity, compared to what came later with 09/11/2001. And then the Covid19 scamdemic that made the rich, richer. While the average American sank.
I think you should thank Gingrich for that more than Slick!
