Minneapolis, left-wing Walz is pro-Muslim, which is viewed as having much more potential with their base, while Shapiro is a Jew who reports say even served with the IDF.
Like elsewhere in the West, Democrats view Muslim factional power as having the most electoral potential now and especially in the future, while Jews will be discarded from the American Left. Democrats pandering to the likes of Omar will get far stronger

Harris is married to a Jew. Jews (the majority) helped put Biden in office. Most Jews vote democrat and support socialist values.
I would agree with Fetterman's assessment. Shapiro was dropped because he was seen as outshining Harris and he has political ambitions that could cause division in a Harris/Shapiro administration. I don't think Josh being Jewish was the deciding factor in him not being picked - MHO.

That one’s interesting. 2028 would be 2 years into his 2nd term and he talks big, more condusive to the senate. It would acknowledge this country would not elect a Jew as POTUS. With Trump winning more black voters the writing would be one the wall. Same with Buttigig.

Fetterman is jealous that Shapiro will be a top Dem Presidential candidate in 2028 and Fetterman has no chance.
Harris is the type of boss who demands total subservience from their employees. Shapiro did not come across as subservient enough during the interview. So she chose Walz even though electorally it’s not a good decision for her.

And truthfully I think that the controllers of the Democrat party were rebuffed by any number of potential VP candidates. I cannot believe that Walz was the first pick. At least 5 politicians blew them off before Walz’ turn came up. Kelly, Shapiro, Cooper, Whitmer, and Hochul come to mind. The previous list wanted no part in the Kamala Circus of Death that promises to be her campaign.
I still think Shapiro turned her down. No one with ambitions like his wants to hitch his star to her wagon.
My two cents.
I think it had a lot to do with the upcoming convention in Chiraq.
I expect the pro-Hamas crowd will be out in the streets in numbers.
The party establishment will attempt to massage them as much as possible.
Shapiro’s religion and position would not have helped the Dems keep the “aloha snackbars” in line.
