The night Kamala Harris met Sharon Stone’s ex husband Phil Bronstein in a back-room San Francisco bar - and what happened after that [2004]
Daily Mail ^ | 8.5.2024 | Hazel Jones

...‘Practically hidden in the choking pall of tobacco and celebrity, a young woman was perched on a bar stool watching the game, waiting, calculating,’ Bronstein recalled, breathlessly.

‘She was almost sedated, nursing a glass of wine and smoking cigarettes.

‘The quiet observer was Kamala Harris, the woman whom many now think is an odds-on favorite to be President of the United States,’ he gushed in the 2018 article – a time when she was briefly leading in the polls for the Democrat nomination.

‘But on this night, she was a political rookie, barely a year into her first term as San Francisco district attorney: focused, reserved, undistracted, emotions in check. And mysterious.’

‘As the game went on, I watched Kamala quietly observing and analyzing, trying to decide if she wanted to challenge the winner.

‘Finally, I imagine, she made her decision. Not the right time, not the right players. She left the room.’

Bronstein’s dramatic depiction left out one key detail – just why he, one of the most powerful figures in the City by the Bay was so keenly studying the prosecutor rather than mixing it with Penn or Springsteen.

+++++++++

Because she realized she left her kneepads back at the crib.

“The only glass ceiling Kamala Harris ever broke was the mirror over Willie Brown’s bed.“

THAT, my friend is THE campaign slogan for this election!!!

Carry_Okie, I second joethedrummer’s comment, calling this the finest meme of his year’s campaign. Nice work!

I must admit, it's my fault.

She's always had that look. Unfortunately, it does invoke a grim bit of visualization involving a corporate ladder, ropes, whips, leather, studs, you know, that sort of thing...

Most unpleasant. Unseemly too, but I can't think of anyone more deserving.

Kamala and Phil went up the hill,
Each with a buck and a quarter...

Kamala came down with two fifty,
Oh that dirty ho.

Carry_Okie, your meme bears repeating.  I hope someone influential picks it up and runs with it because it's great:

You need a Michael Savage, a TikTokker, or X-blogger to spread this meme far and wide.  Maybe a FReeper can recommend a distribution channel...

The meme is concise, makes its point, but is not vulgar.  It reveals the kind of person Kamala really is: a "Didn't Earn It" fake.  In fact, worse than a DEI hire.

Women are proud when they legitimately earn a influential position in government, business etc.  "Breaking the glass ceiling" is a real accomplishment: somebody applied their intelligence and hard work to succeed.  Everybody loves that!  It's the virtue that made America great.

But for Harris to get appointed as Attorney General of California because she was Willie Brown's girlfriend?  Well that's to turn a meritocracy upside down!

And it's extremely dangerous because now you've got someone seeking the Presidency who is a con-artist and lacks the right knowledge and background of experience.  Putin, Xi, and the Ayatollahs will run circles around her!

Here's the scary part: In the early 1990s, I was listening to our local communist NPR radio station, KPFA in Berkeley, during the commute to work, just to hear what the leftists were up to. One day one of the commentators was talking about a particular prosecutor in Oakland, Kamala Harris, and how she could be our first woman President someday.

Don't think for a second Harris wasn't in on this little "name recognition" promo. If that isn't an indication of how far she was willing go for power I don't know what is.

I just listened to Steven Crowder's podcast from yesterday:

LINK: THIS IS WAR: YouTube is stealing the election in real time...

The entire show was about how Google and YouTube are in full "Elect Leftist" mode by manipulating search results.

If you search for "Donald Trump" you get ten pages of results (I didn't go past ten pages) that are, with the exceptions of the major Trump related all wholly negative.

There is a pane on initial Google search which appears to be a "news feed" as far as I can tell, the first four shown are extremely negative, but you can click on a link to show more of them.

Clicking on that link to "show more" news items, returned 17 items like this:

  • As Trump fumes, Republicans wince at ‘public nervous breakdown’

  • Analysis | Trump keeps attacking their spouses. Top GOPers keep supporting...

  • Donald Trump Has Nothing Else

  • Trump picks a pointless fight with Georgia Republicans – it could cost him...

  • SNL’s Cecily Strong mocks Donald Trump running mate JD Vance for ‘Panic at the Disco’-style eyeliner

  • Has Harris finally broken Trump? He's flailing, glitching and running scared.

Now, if I search for Kamala Harris, this is what I get:

  • Kamala Harris secures Democratic nomination for president

  • Election 2024 live updates: Harris to name VP pick; Vance rallies in Philadelphia

  • Kamala Harris is now Democratic presidential nominee, will face off against Donald Trump this fall

  • Kamala Harris’s Multiple Paths to Victory

This was just the first page for each of these politicians. I did check the next ten pages for each of them, and both continued in all the same direction: Trump, very negative, Harris, very positive.

We expect this, it is no surprise because we are aware of it mostly except for the pearl clutchers and the denizens of the fainting couches we find on this website.

But 4.5 BILLION people worldwide access Google and YouTube each day. And the VAST majority of them have NO idea whatsoever.

And Crowder had an expert on this manipulation, and said it was possible using Google and YouTube alone to turn a 50-50 race into a 90-10 race.

Between the MSM and social media, this kind of activity represents a campaign gift in kind, for which there are structural reasons within our system of laws. I have never figured out why some conservative group doesn’t go after them for it.

Right...am I wrong? That seems like a shocking disparity to me. But I posted it to see if anyone thinks I am reading too much into that.

I don’t think I am, but...I am susceptible to viewing things with a partisan eye, no doubt.

The ability to think like the enemy is key to his defeat. Remember Patton: "Rommel, you magnificent bastard! I read your BOOK!!!"

Sure, Google is playing games.  And hopefully the recent Federal Appeals court ruling that Google is operating as a monopoly will help.

But still, the ability of YouTube to get people to actually see conservative content is extraordinary.

One example. I searched on Google for the Marjorie Taylor Greene speech she gave in Atlanta last week.

Here's the link: BREAKING NEWS: Marjorie Taylor Greene Goes Nuclear On Kamala Harris At Trump Atlanta Rally

Number of viewers of this YouTube video produced by Forbes Breaking News is currently 548,000.

Now here's the kicker: if you go to Rumble and ask for any Greene video, you can't really find the breaking content you are looking for.

Sad to say.  Google has virtually NO viable competitors.  But public pressure has nonetheless forced Google to show key videos on YouTube and they command audiences in the hundreds of thousands to millions. So yes, Steve Crowder is complaining, but I suspect he's also smiling inside because Youtube helped make him famous.

You heard it on FR first!  Regarding your terrific FR meme:

It looks like a major Kamela Harris talking point is about to be shattered.

Look at how hard Google highlighted (and continues to highlight) Harris "breaking the glass ceiling" with her success.  Story after story they point to reflects this theme.

But now, it may be that great idea behind your meme will get wider distribution.  Look at this paragraph from yesterday's Babylon Bee story:

So it will be interesting to track what Google does with this...  In fairness, will they post a link to Babylon Bee's version, too?

In any case, your meme is getting some legs!
