Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin Rebukes Senior Official After 9/11 Plea Deal Embarrassment

Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin appeared to rebuke a senior Pentagon official after she reportedly approved a plea-deal for 9/11 terrorist mastermind Khalid Shaikh Mohammed and two accomplices that became a massive embarrassment for the Biden-Harris administration.

After the Pentagon announced the deal, which was approved by senior Biden administration official Susan Escallier, a retired Army brigadier general, Austin revoked the deal, issuing a public memorandum that said he was now taking charge of the case.

The Pentagon issued a statement Friday with the revocation, along with the memorandum. It said:

Today, Secretary Austin signed a memo reserving for himself the specific authority to enter into pre-trial agreements with the accused in the 9/11 military commission cases. In addition, as the superior convening authority, the Secretary has also withdrawn from the pre-trial agreements that were signed in those cases. The memo can be found here.

Indeed a joke

Not only is there no “justice” after 23 years, it demonstrates how bloated and stupid America’s defense bureaucrats are

When Austin does something like this, you know that his first reaction was that this was a PR disaster and he did a double face palm. Escallier will probably be promoted for her part in this fiasco.

Other nations use the Democrat party to get what they want from The United States.

It’s called Peacetime Treason.

I this were under Trump the media would be asking how the heck this plea deal even happened?? They’d call this an administration in crisis.

The corrupt media is so very corrupt.

Sure - he’s not rebuking the intent, just the timing.

Translation: the leftist White House staff, which is only one faction in the governing junta, stepped on the toes of the DOD faction and got smacked.

Kinda interesting to see what a Presidential system looks like with no real President in charge. The SecDef can basically tell the White House to kiss off.

This is a good example of why Biden shouldn’t be in charge... That ‘black man’ he appointed Defense Secretary overruled him and his handlers, who wanted to please the Muslim community for a few extra votes for Kamala from her Terrorist supporters.

Is his position is that he has not been involved and was not asked to sign off on the deal? That would be even worse.

Yes, this was a mess, but after 20-odd years, it’s apparent that this guy was never going to see the death penalty anyway.

Austin hasn’t done a thing to rectify the problem unless he has the official thrown out of the service without benefits.

Is there not anything that could get someone fired from a Biden Admin job?

I thought their cases were transferred to civilian court.
How does the military have any voice over the plea deal?

oh please. can we quit pretending this wasn’t done because there is an “election” in three or four months?

guarandamntee you if the Demon rat party steals this one, it’ll go back into effect. hell, they might even release the murderer.

and should God allow the steal to be stopped and grants us a Trump victory, I don’t put it past the Harris “Biden” team to let the jails loose. The Demon rats hate America, and Lloyd is just another Democrat operative.
