Police in Bristol are advising members of the public to avoid Castle Park and said it had a “significant presence” in the area this evening due to protests.
Police believe the majority of people at the so-called protests that turned into disorder and violence are from the extreme far right.
A police source with knowledge of the national picture told the Guardian the violence on Friday and Saturday was “more than expected, but not more than we prepared for”.
The violence is described as “sporadic” and no force was overwhelmed, the source said. A second force – Northumbria which covers Sunderland – is considering asking for reinforcements in case violence breaks out again there.
Going into this weekend every force had extra riot trained officers ordered to be on duty, even if no protests were scheduled in their local area.
Extra riot officers will continue to be deployed on stand by into Sunday. A decision will be taken, possibly as soon as in the next few hours, as to whether the extra officers trained in public order will continue into next week.
That would be a sign potentially that heightened tensions are feared to continue.
The source said what people were turning up to protest about was unclear, as was whether their driving intention was to cause violence: “They turn up to protest and quickly it escalates quickly to violence.”

Aren’t the “extremists” the illegal alien invaders who rape and murder and riot constantly? Why do the Brit police seemingly only attack their Citizens? Something doesn’t look right.
Patriotophobe.
Meanwhile:
“Mobs of masked Muslims running through the streets of Stoke searching for people to attack.
They run straight passed police with weapons in hand, police turn a blind eye.”

Too bad Brits aren’t armed, but they will reap what they sowed.

I suppose the police are putting their large salaries and cushy pensions before any sense of right or wrong.
We see this in the US, too. There are videos on YouTube of mayors telling their cops to arrest someone who is saying something legal - but unpopular - at a meeting. And the cops do it without any hesitation.
PM Starmer has no plan to deter UK knife violence, so he is trying to change the subject.
Prove it, pass out the Hickory and approve Shampoos for miscreants.
Extreme far right means the average white British native.
So it’s only the extreme far right that will protect women and children
FU, Shmarmy
This is what you get when you allow the wealthy and their allies to be involved in government and politics.
UK is now full blown authoritarian police state.
One good thing about the parliamentary system is that it's easy to force the government to collapse so they'll have to replace the Prime Minister.

I suppose that will be the next step. But such measures will be reserved for the pro-British protesters. I also expect the arrest of anyone suspected of organizing the protests. Such folks will be given lengthy prison terms as an example.
On a related note, here’s a video of the British police arresting a British man for carrying the British flag. Let that sink in for a moment.

Of course he does. UK is run by people who HATE the UK and especially hate white people. If imported rapefugee trash kills a bunch of white girls... WELL, it was their fault for being white and their privilege.

Yep. A “no confidence” vote will force a new UK election. But such votes only succeed when the government is a minority in a coalition. Labour has a huge majority in Parliament now. Unfortunately, they’re not going anywhere.
Oh, BTW, didn't the recent Conservative government go through like 5 different PMs?
You raise an interesting point. Labour doesn’t want to force a new election as they are quite happy with their current large majority. So there won’t be a general “No Confidence” vote.
But Labour can force out Starmer as prime minister. As you noted, the Tories changed prime ministers a few times when they were in power.
I wonder…are there enough realistic, non-woke Labour members to make that happen?
They will, if it continues to be a $#itshow.
Starmer will be the scapegoat. So he's history if he is not able to handle it quickly.
I bet Sunak is happy that he's no longer the PM. Not his circus now.
