A boxer deemed a 'biological male' today won against an Italian woman in one of the most controversial Olympic bouts ever.
The fight between Italy's Angela Carini and her Algerian opponent Imane Khelif took just 46 seconds, with the Italian throwing her helmet onto the floor as the clash was abandoned, yelling: 'This is unjust.'
The 25-year-old refused the handshake and fell to the canvas sobbing having received just two punches from Khelif - who had been banned from a major boxing contest before the Olympics.
Khelif was thrown out of last year's world championships after failing testosterone tests carried out to establish gender qualification.
After the match was stopped, the referee raised Khelif's hand in the air. But a visibly furious Carini yanked her own hand away from the fight official and walked off.
Ignoring the Algerian, the Italian fighter then plunged to her knees and burst into tears as she said she had never felt such strong blows in a contest before.
Speaking after the match, the heartbroken Italian said: 'I'm used to suffering. I've never taken a punch like that, it's impossible to continue. I'm nobody to say it's illegal.
'I got into the ring to fight. But I didn't feel like it anymore after the first minute. I started to feel a strong pain in my nose. I didn't give up, but a punch hurt too much and so I said enough. I'm leaving with my head held high.'

If her opponent is Algerian, I surprised he/she/it is still alive. Since Algeria is a Muslim country; I thought they killed such people.
Ooops. I made a mistake. TheWriterTX has a child dealing with such. Should have been copied. Again compassion is in order. Also again not sure how this should be handled in athletic competitions.

This is a man who hates women and has found a way to legally beat them up. This is outrageous. I hope this woman finds way to take legal action for this dangerous assault against the Olympic trustees or whatever they are called.

The Algerian is a MALE. DNA shows it. Why in HELL does the Olympics use “testosterone blood levels” to determine GENETIC gender?
Absolute insanity- just like the “identify as female” males in girls gym locker rooms.... PERVERTED there.
And Algeria- “anything for a win”... typical mooslim attitude. Insane.
At our Dojo (MMA) during boxing sessions (we had guys and gals), sometimes I would box one of the women...but was always gentle, slowed my punches, hit lightly to avoid hurting them. Helped them learn to hit and block w/o injury and made it fun for them. They liked me for that.
During promotion time, we had to demo the required techniques and after that, fight a stronger opponent (often one of the instructors). Tradition was that the instructor (assistant Sensei or a senior student) would beat the crap out of the student qualifying for promotion.
When I was up for green belt, so was a young woman student. Sensei had us fight each other. I was about 5 or 6 inches taller and about 50 lbs heavier. 3 minute match. I went gentle mode and slowed my moves down. Asst Sensei not happy about that but the senior Sensei (Dojo Master...a 7th Dan) allowed it and we both got our green belts.
I just can’t see any virtue in beating up women.

As a dad to three kids with medical issues as well, my heart goes out to you and your family. It’s pretty tough to deal with some of those situations.
One hit to the jaw will do it. Pound per pound by muscle density a male will always demolish a woman.
