Dems Float Federal Handout for Migrants to Promote 'Self-Sufficiency'

A group of Congressional Democrats has introduced legislation that would allocate around $3 billion per year in federal funds to help recent migrants become more self-sufficient, arguing it will take the pressure off states and cities struggling to cope with a crush of new arrivals....

Massachusetts Senator Edward J. Markey is leading the Destination Reception Assistance Act, which would supplement local efforts in providing help navigating the immigration system while also assisting migrants with housing and other necessities.

The bicameral group of Democrats announced the plan Tuesday...The motion put forward by the group, and backed by other Democrats including Elizabeth Warren and Dick Durbin, provides a $3 billion yearly budget provision for fiscal years 2025 through 2028...

This is the kind of stuff thought up by people who do way too many “recreational drugs” and spend a lot of time “recreating”. Illegals say they came here for asylum. They did nothing to deserve a free ride on the backs of American “White Dudes for Harris”.

This is a brazen violation of section 1324 title 8 which makes it a federal felony to encourage illegals to come to or live here. Why don’t repubs say this?

(A)Any person who—

(iv)encourages or induces an alien to come to, enter, or reside in the United States, knowing or in reckless disregard of the fact that such coming to, entry, or residence is or will be in violation of law; or
(v)
(I)engages in any conspiracy to commit any of the preceding acts, or
(II)aids or abets the commission of any of the preceding acts,
shall be punished as provided in subparagraph (B).

(B)A person who violates subparagraph (A) shall, for each alien in respect to whom such a violation occurs—

(iv)in the case of a violation of subparagraph (A)(i), (ii), (iii), (iv), or (v) resulting in the death of any person, be punished by death or imprisoned for any term of years or for life, fined under title 18, or both.

I’ve tried emailing my representatives in the House and Senate. All I get back from them are form letters full of bureaucratic doublespeak. Which tells me they don’t give a damn what I think or say. Emailing the Governor is even worse. I get told he receives so many emails he can’t possibly respond to all of them so have a nice day and thanks for thinking of us. We lost the USA a long time ago.

Pfft. Better than that, the VA takes part of my disability payment each month to pay back the separation pay they gave me 30 years ago.

I just got an email update from one of my Senators, Dr. Rand Paul, and in it he states that the National Science Foundation (NSF) spent $675,000 to compare ant and human brain development.
