BANGKOK (AP) — China will ban the export of all unregulated civilian drones that can be used for military purposes or in terrorist activities and restrict certain drone features as Beijing faces repeated Western criticism for its stance on the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

The Commerce Ministry said in a statement Wednesday the decision was made also to prevent the use of drones in “the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction,” adding that aspects such as infrared imaging equipment lasers for target indication and high-precision inertial measurement equipment will be placed on an export control list.

I guess DC is getting part of its wish. No more drones to the Ukraine battlefield. This is going to spell the worst kind of trouble for the Ukes. These drones have been the only effective defense they have.

Too late. UKR is making millions of its own drones.

We shall see. The same reports you’ll cite for your claim, make the laughable claim that they are producing more than a negligible amount of artillery munitions, too.

This is too funny. This is called a price rise to the customer base. Anyone is the market has been notified that they’ll have to pay a lot more in future.

Ukraine and the US got exactly what they demanded. Export of drones, which exclusively benefitted Ukraine has ended.

China has a sense of humor. Sullivan and Blinken probably don’t think it’s funny though... The Russian MOD announced 72 hours that Russian Drone production facilities are now running in July, and that they are producint 4000 drones a day. China then cut off the drone exports to Ukraine.

Ukraine was using about 1000 drones a day... can you imagine what 4000 drones a day will do on the front lines? Russia currently has 520,000 men fighting in Ukraine; by the end of year they say they will have 690,000.

Zelinski wants to have a nation-wide referendum on giving up land, but of course his brand of democracy says there cannot be presidential elections - ha the folly of our White House the DNC-mock-racy fails yet again.

Kyiv Independent: Ukraine able to produce over 3 million drones a year, ministry says

“Ukraine has the production capacity to produce more than 3 million drones a year, but requires financing from foreign partners, Deputy Strategic Industries Minister Hanna Hvozdiar said on July 30...

…”We have large enough production capacity, we can produce more than 3 million drones of various types today,” Hvozdiar said at a government-organized hackathon, as quoted by Suspilne.

Ukraine needs financing for the production of drones, as the state can only cover part of the budget. Funding from foreign partners, such as Canada, will help to cover the rest of the financing, Hvozdiar said.

According to Hvozdiar, Kyiv is also in talks with the U.K. to help purchase domestically-produced drones for the Ukrainian military.

In April, Denmark became the first country among Ukraine’s partners to buy weapons and equipment for Ukraine’s Armed Forces from a domestic manufacturer as part of a military aid package.

The same month, Canada announced it would donate $2.2 million to Ukraine’s drone production in collaboration with the U.K.

According to Strategic Industries Minister Alexander Kamyshin, foreign investment is needed because Ukraine’s defense industry has a capacity worth around $20 billion, but the state only has up to $10 billion to purchase weapons and equipment.

In June, the state-owned company Ukrainian Defense Industry, also known as Ukroboronprom, said it had launched the serial production of strike drones with a range of over 1,000 kilometers (620 miles).

The head of Ukrainian Defense Industry, Herman Smetanin, said that with the help of “private individuals,” the company was now able to “scale production” of long-range drones”

So, where do they get the electricity? Just take the figures the West feeds you and add a heaping helping of reality and you’ll find the Ukes are about to have a big time drone problem.
