Russian Woman Admits to Abusing Illegally Adopted Ukrainian Child

A resident of Surgut in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug of the Tyumen Region, Russia, has admitted to regularly beating a Ukrainian girl who lives with her.
This information was reported by Ukrainian public human rights organization ZMINA based on a video published by Russian Telegram channels.
According to the footage, the woman harbors hatred towards the child, referring to her as "khokhlushka" (a derogatory term used to describe Ukrainians) and demanding that the child be taken away, otherwise, she will continue to abuse her: "I have been beating her throughout the war and will continue to do so."
The video’s caption states that the girl is from Mariupol and that the woman adopted her:
“A woman, sitting on social media in a state of intoxication, claims to have adopted a girl from Mariupol and regularly beats her. According to the account, she clearly hates the child and incites hostility.”
The video was posted on Telegram on July 28, but as of now, neither Maria Lvova-Belova, the Russian Presidential Commissioner for Children’s Rights, nor Lyudmila Nizamova, the regional children’s ombudsman, have commented on the abuse of the deported child. There have also been no comments from other officials or child protection services.
According to Kateryna Rashevska, a lawyer from the Regional Human Rights Center, “What the Russian woman said is part of the broader issue involving high-ranking Russian officials and the forcible transfer of Ukrainian children into Russian families.”
The expert also noted that the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug had not previously been mentioned in the public rhetoric of high-ranking Russian officials as a region where Ukrainian children were transferred to Russian families. However, in April 2024, news emerged about the intention of local residents to adopt 52 children from the temporarily occupied Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
According to the National Information Bureau (NIB), there are currently 23,711 children known to have been deported to Russia. So far, approximately 800 children have been returned to Ukraine. Contact has been established with 2,357 children. The whereabouts of the remaining 20,000 children are unknown.
The International Criminal Court (ICC) issued an arrest warrant on March 17, 2023, for Russian Presidential Commissioner for Children's Rights Maria Lvova-Belova and Vladimir Putin due to the deportation of Ukrainian children.

A little context: The “Ukrainian” National Anthem refers repeatedly to “the Cossack nation”.
The Cossacks were never regarded as a particularly kind and gentle people.

Child Abductions in the Russo-Ukrainian War
The International Criminal Court (ICC) has issued arrest warrants for President of Russia Vladimir Putin (who has explicitly supported the forced adoptions, including by enacting legislation to facilitate them) and Children's Rights Commissioner Maria Lvova-Belova for their alleged involvement.
According to international law, including the 1948 Genocide Convention, such acts constitute genocide if done with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a nation or ethnic group.
Ukrainian children have been abducted by the Russian state after their parents had been arrested by Russian occupation authorities or killed in the invasion, or after becoming separated from their parents in an active war zone. Children have also been abducted from Ukrainian state institutions in occupied areas, and through children's "summer camps" on Russian territory.
The abducted children have been subject to Russification; raising children of war in a foreign nation and culture may constitute an act of genocide if intended to erase their national identity.
Ukrainian authorities have verified the identities of over 19,000 abducted children, compiling and actively updating the data as part of an online platform: "Children of War".
Russian authorities have claimed that over 700,000 Ukrainian children have been "evacuated" by mid-2023, and Ukraine's ombudsman on children's rights believes that the actual number of abducted children may be in the hundreds of thousands. A charitable organisation, Save Ukraine, facilitates the repatriation and family reunification of abducted Ukrainian children. Daria Herasymchuk is Ukraine's Presidential Commission for Children's Rights and Child Rehabilitation officer.

About Kazan As the capital city of the Republic of Tatarstan, Kazan is a glorious city that represents Russia's Tsarist past. With complex palaces, towering churches, and a thriving cultural scene, Kazan is a pure Russian city with incredible beauty and heart.
Main Attractions in Kazan
As the "Third Capital of Russia," there is plenty to see and to do while staying in Kazan. Visitors can enjoy long walks down the streets of the city, as each of them offers a new arrangement of colors and historic buildings. Kazan is also one of the largest economic, political, scientific and cultural centers of the country.
Kazan Kremlin
One of the main attractions is the Kazan Kremlin. Built by Ivan the Terrible on the ruins of the palace of the Kazan Khanate that he destroyed, this white fortress is a beautiful sight in any season. The Kremlin of Kazan reflects not only the ethnic mix of Tatars and Russians that make up this important region of the Russian Federation, but also the combined strength of the region's two great religions: Islam and Orthodox Christianity.
Kul Sharif Mosque
The magnificent Kul Sharif Mosque, named for Kazan's last great Imam before Ivan the Terrible invaded and seized the city, is the Kremlin's main jewel. It is the largest Muslim place of worship in Europe, and serves as home to a rich collection of ancient books.
Annunciation Cathedral
As an equally important place of Orthodox worship, the Annunciation Cathedral within Kazan’s Kremlin is an architectural gem completed in 1561, 9 years after the city was conquered. The cathedral is said to have been designed by Postnik Yakovlev, the same architect who was said to be blinded after completing St. Basil’s Cathedral on Moscow’s Red Square.
Temple of All Religions
Today's Kazan appears to be equally strongly tied with its unique mixture of religious beliefs. Philanthropist Ildar Khanov began work on his Temple of All Religions in 1992 near the shores of the Volga River, and this unique building is still under construction. The Temple makes use of religious architecture from all over the world, and has an Orthodox church dome, a minaret, synagogue-like fixtures, and other items representing 16 of the world's many faiths.
In 2005 Kazan celebrated its millennium jubilee. Despite such venerable age, the city is growing and dynamically developing in all respects.
A prevailing feature of life in the city is peaceful, creative coexistence of different religions and nationalities. Due to its gorgeous architecture, breathtaking scenery, and welcoming locals, Kazan is the perfect destination for travelers of all ages. So if you've already decided to add Kazan to your bucket list, browse our collection of Russia tours below and choose your ideal Kazan itinerary!

Beerhouse Astronomicheskaya, 10, Kazan 420111, Russia
Come for the beer - stay for the food
We came here twice over a three-day stay during the World Cup - the first time as it was a convenient place to meet an old friend and the second time because the first time was so good.
As a German style beer house they are ethically obliged to have a decent selection of beers on tap, and the pub did not disappoint. What was surprising was the range and quality of Tatar style food available. Try the horse meat dumplings. You may not have had horse before, but just try it. The locals eat it and you can see why.
Service in general in Russia does not tend to be over effusive and friendly, but the Beerhouse has a pleasant enough group of servers; the food and beer came quickly enough and there was no rush to get us to order more even though the World Cup was showing on their screens and the place was full.
Just in case you are hidden away in one of the corner booths, as we were on our first trip, you will have your own personal TV screen and a bell to summon the staff and order more beer and dumplings just in case they have forgotten you.
Although there is no outdoor seating and you are just off the main drag, this is a centrally located and cosy place to while away a few hours. Did I mention the horse meat dumplings?

ransomnote: I don't see how drunk blogging could be actionable unless this person offered specifics of their name and location. Frankly, it sounds fake, but if it's real, how is that person to be located?
The Ukrainian apologists on FR were decidedly silent about Western Ukraine shelling Eastern Ukraine in order to kill Ukrainians of Russian descent. Men women AND children were targeted. Those Ukrainian apologists mutter things like 'the only good Russian is a dead Russian', stress that Russians are sub-human or call them Orcs.
The Ukraine's Banderites seem to have steeped the Nazi notion of 'ethnic purity' into some core organizing principles, like the Ukraine's Constitution:
WHen Archbishop Viganò spoke about the Ukraine's problem with using children for organ harvesting and pedophile networks, the Ukrainian apologists reflexively say, "Russians are worse!" So the idea that an anonymous drunk blogger, possibly Ukrainian posing as Russian, somehow represents Russians in General is suspect given the tolerance for Ukrainian abuses.
"Let’s not forget that Ukraine is the main player in the market of surrogacy, organ predation, and human trafficking, which also feeds the pedophile network. The denunciations of humanitarian organizations leave no doubt about these unprecedented horrors: children are being killed and dismembered to send their organs to clinics in the West; wounded Ukrainian soldiers are having their organs harvested for the same purpose; the lives of innocent creatures are being sold to rich perverts to satisfy their abominable deviations. And we know how much the deep state is composed of characters who can be blackmailed precisely in furtherance of these execrable crimes, a dynamic highlighted by the recent film Sound of Freedom." ~ Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò
ransomnote: I suppose it was only a matter of time before he was excommunicated.

But wait, there's more! Kazan is...is...Ukrainian?!!!
And Alter Kaker, Kazan is Jewish, you Anti-Semite!
The meaning of Kazan
1. Turkish, Ukrainian, Belorussian, and Jewish (eastern Ashkenazic): nickname, metonymic occupational name, or ornamental (artificial) name from Turkish kazan ‘cauldron, big soup-kettle’, which is also a loanword in East Slavic languages. 2. Jewish (eastern Ashkenazic): from Hebrew ḥazan, an occupational name for a cantor in a synagogue. 3. American shortened form of Greek Kazantzis (or of its patronymic derivatives, e.g. Kazantzakis, Kazantzoglou): occupational name for a maker of cauldrons or for someone who used a cauldron for the distillation of ouzo or raki, from Turkish kazancı ‘cauldron-maker’, from kazan ‘cauldron’ + the agent noun suffix -cı. History: The American film director Elia Kazan (1909–2003) was of Greek origin, born in Istanbul, Turkey. His original surname was Kazandzoglou or Kazantzoglou.
