You mean, Sister Rosemary Sundried Tomato Ham! ;)
I say that with all affection for the nuns who taught me. There was only one that I was scared of, and she was the principal when I was in First Grade. All of the rest were absolutely wonderful ladies. She was probably a nice lady, too, but I didn’t give her the chance.

So your lime bush is one that you overwinter also? Does it produce much fruit?

Yeah, it lives in the kitchen garden window from about October to April. I get about twenty limes a year. Not big ones. About the size of a key lime. Maybe a bit bigger.
Is it an efficient use of resources? Not a chance. But it smells good when it blooms and Youngest Daughter tends it most lovingly so it stays.

I bought it on impulse and it survived my benign neglect for five years until she came along and adopted it as her project. Don't ask me why she picked it out of all the plants in the house to be hers but she did and it produced blooms about a month ahead of schedule on the day we finalize her adoption.
Sometimes life hands you unexpectedly beautiful things.
