Republican Arizona Senate hopeful Kari Lake defeated former Pinal County sheriff Mark Lamb on Tuesday night, to secure the Republican nomination in that battleground state's primaries.
Lake will face Democratic nominee Rep. Ruben Gallego in November.
“Congratulations to Kari Lake on her commanding victory in tonight’s primary,” National Republican Senatorial Committee Chairman Steve Daines said. “Arizonans must unite to defeat Ruben Gallego, one of the most radical Democrats in the country.
”Ruben Gallego will work with Kamala Harris to abolish ICE, defund the police, and pass more reckless spending that will drive prices up. Kari Lake will work with President Trump to secure the border, get crime under control, and bring down prices.”

She’s not running against Trump.
RINOs are deeply saddened.
Aside from a shrinking pool of bitter McCainites who oppose anything and everything Trump-related, many Mormon voters think Lake should be home baking cookies - and she sets a bad example for their girls.
There are also some Republicans who don't believe Lake is genuine - they remember her Obama and abortion support and believe she is just putting on an act - she will drop MAGA and govern very differently than she talks on the campaign trail.
Voting for Trump and refusing to vote for Lake "on prinicple" is suicidal when the missing votes lead to cartel-controlled puppets like Hobbs and Gallego, but there you have it.
I never said she ways. I said she’s polling behind Trump which means she’s not doing as well as Trump.. Trump is running away with AZ and she is consistently behind the D she is running agains. There is a reason for that and trying to get a non flippant or hyperbole reason as to why from folks on the ground there
C'mon AZ, you can do it!
Sadly, that may now be the only way to save the country.
With little to no pushback, Democrats have no motivation to stop stealing elections.
Republicans need to back off with the “we’re better than that” crap that leaves too many of them watching Rat victory speeches on election night.
:)
OP pointed out that she is behind the Dem only by a few points based on registered voter polling and that type of gap is generally closed when it comes to actual voters.
Did you want the closet Democrat to win instead?
What happened in 2022 was outrageous.
It is not hyperbole, do your research and learn to have some courage. Such attitudes only invite failure, you think every winner is always in the elad, never an underdog or fights against the odds / corruption?
You asked why,. I have an answer, one well documented in much of the right leaning media, McPain RINOs are real thing, sounds like you might be one of them.
Flakey Flake? Haven’t heard that goofball mentioned in awhile. NOT even wondering what he is up to.
Polls consistently show Kari down in the general....
One possible reason is the Republicans were divided between three candidates. No one bothered to run a poll between the commie and Mark Lamb.
I’m certain that Republicans will coalesce behind Lake. Lamb and Lake are friends and did not attack each other so I’m sure he will endorse her. And her 2022 rival RINO Karrin Taylor Robson endorsed Lake today.
Wish I could help. I live in NJ. 😡😡😡 I love her. She is great. Perhsps the local media smeared her.
Again, she is down 3-4 while Trump is up 5-6.. that’s a 10 point difference between them you can’t claim it’s just LV vs RV as the reason that’s just nonsense.
Lake is well behind Trump in the state, 10 points is huge, and LV vs RV do not 10 points make.
So, the answer offered is not an answer to the question posted
You are engaging in hyperbole… and lashing out. I have not offered anything. Defeated I have asked a reasonable and legitimate question that you seem to want to simply dismiss.
Lake is running about 10 points behind Trump in AZ.. if you cannot offer a reason for it, and a real reason not platitudes, hyperbole, or partisan hack nonsense, then adjusting and improving things cannot happen.
Calling me names, and lashing out, is just more nonsense.
Nobody was claiming what you keep trying to fight against.
But again, she doesn’t have to beat Trump, the LV vs RV wouldn’t really play into that differential either.
She needs to beat the Dem and that’s where the LV vs. RV (or even “adults”) differential helps to bridge the gap that may indeed be less than the gap between polled support for her and Trump. But of course Trump couldn’t have higher name recognition and she hasn’t held office at this point, so that could well play into the gap that you are so worried about anyway.
Again, I never said she had to beat Trump... where did I?
I asked why she is running so far behind Trump. You seem obsessed with offering an answer that had NOTHING to do with the question asked.
Trump is running away with the state, up 5 or more in polling averages... These Polls include RV and LV polls. Lake is consistenly running and has been this entire cycle, behind the dem, but 3-5 points.
That means there is something going on with Lake that is decidedly different that Trump, and that is what is being asked. Not oh Lake could win even with the polling she’s got currently, or on the 2nd tuesday in months ending in R democrats poll up 7.
What I have asked, is simply why is Lake polling so far behind where Trump is. This is a question that is fundamentally what is different between what Trump is doing in AZ and what Lake is doing in AZ, that are leading to very different results. It has ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with any of the answers given regarding polling methodology or whether or not Lake can win or not.
If Trump is up 5-6 and Lake is down 3-4 that is a 10 point spread... That’s not caused because Trump polls are all LV and Lakes are RV because A) its not true, Trump is leading by 5-6 in the polling averages of all polls, both those with LV and RV polling... and B) LV vs RV polling does not equate to a 10 point swing in any universe.
The question being asked is fundamentally what is Lake doing or not doing that Trump is doing or not doing that is causing one to be polling 10 points below the other. Hyperbole, platitudes and attacking the person asking the question are not answers to the question.
If Trump is up 10 compared to Lake, what are the reason(s) for it. Is lake running that bad of a campaign? Is Lakes Democrat opponent more popular? Is lake not connecting with voters at the same level as Trump... etc etc etc.
Those are legitimate reasons, saying Lake can still win, or not is not remotely the question being asked.
I answered that for you: name recognition, also and tied to, that she’s not held office previously. Beyond that, of course, Trump is an exceptionally skilled pol and campaigner.
But you still keep asking the wrong question. It doesn’t matter if she’s polling behind and even gets fewer votes than Trump. She’ll still benefit from his coattails.
That depends on the area. Older ring suburbs in most cities are increasingly minority. More affluent white suburbs have swung increasingly to the Democrats due to leftist higher education. Offsetting this are rural and exurban areas where Democrats are losing by two to one or greater margins. There is significant slippage among Hispanics and Rust Belt whites
