On July 30, 2024, over two weeks after the assassination attempt against Donald Trump, FBI Deputy Director Paul Abbate said the agency still does not know how the would-be alleged assassin got a rifle onto the roof from which he fired.
Sen. Laphonza Butler (D-CA) asked Abbate if the agency knew how the 20-year-old would-be assassin was able to get the rifle onto the roof.
Abbate responded, “We don’t have definitive evidence yet as to how he got the rifle up there. Based on everything that’s been collected thus far — photos, video, eyewitness accounts — we do believe he likely had it in the backpack.”
Sen. Butler followed up by asking, “Broken down in the backpack?”
Abbate said, “We’re still assessing that. Our laboratory has taken, looked at the rifle itself and measured that against the backpack itself and, if placed in the backpack, it would extend outside, it would have been visible.”
He went on to say no witness has mentioned seeing the rifle sticking out of the backpack.

Federal criminal investigators have a designation: 1811
That means that they have all been through a federal law enforcement academy: shooting, driving, how to investigate. Same stuff cops learn but it’s done by the feds.
The Secret Service is responsible for 3 things: credit card fraud, counterfeit money, and protecting POTUS, VP, family members, certain dignitaries when the come to the US depending on their “position”, and former Presidents and family.
Protecting former POTUS was actually taken away (maybe Clinton) but was reinstated by Obama(?).
So, the Secret Service has complete authority and the assets to conduct any investigation that falls under their mandate.
Big Question.....Why is the FBI the lead investigating agency on a Secret Service case?
I watched a few clips of the Acting Director before the Senate. Unless he had something to do with denying assets or whatever, no reason for them to go after him the way they did, IMHO.
The Big Question, as far as I’m concerned: Why is the FBI even involved?
HOWEVER....to my knowledge not one of them asked why the FBI...and that FBI agent is a complete POS...was even involved, let alone the lead agency.
Of course, if the Secret Service asked for help, fine. Then admit that they are incapable of doing their job, fine. Get rid of them. Completely. No reason to spend billions, take home cars, gas, good money, pensions, benefits for life.

They don’t know why his Drone flew, but they couldn’t fly.
They don’t know why they walked him out into the crosshairs.
They don’t know the name of the people in charge.
They do know he was super intelligent and a right winger, however.
I’m willing to bet that he reached up and either gently placed it on the roof or tossed it a short distance before pulling himself up onto the roof.

Not a big question. The FBI is leading the investigation because they are supposedly independent of the Secret Service. Well in a limited sense they are independent from each other, but they both are part of FedGov and report up to the same boss, the President of the US. So they are not truly independent, but are just two branches of the same tree.
I noticed something new in a video today.
When spectators were filming Crooks before he crawled all the way to the crest of the roof, he was wearing long white pants, possibly to blend in with the roof.
Curiously, the Police body cam video of the dead Crooks shows him wearing short pants, with a really large dark black stain or burn in the knee area.
Is it possible there were two people on the roof at some point in time?
His drone Carried the rifle by pieces on to the roof at night where he assembled it later the next day.
That 20 year old must have been a criminal mastermind.

Ay, por favor-if these LEOs really don’t know how he got a gun up there, they really have no imagination and need to be doing a different job. Oswald wrapped his rifle up in paper and taped it up to look like a package-when the guy he rode to work with asked what he had, he said it was curtain rods for his apartment-nobody thought anything of it-but I guess the SS and other LEOs have never read about that-most of the rest of us have...
This shooter could have dressed as a workman a day or so before, wrapped up the rifle to look like some maintenance/repair equipment-electrical stuff, etc carried it up there and put it in an inconspicuous place still disguised-it is not as if anyone was paying much attention to what was going on above ground. He also could have climbed up utilizing a blind spot where he was not that visible from below-nobody would have seen him carrying a long gun. If the SS is that easy to get by-pres Trump really needs to insist his own loyal and observant private security detail-he is obviously NOT safe with the SS for a lot of reasons...
