It wasn't just that he was losing to Trump, but losing very much to Trump, he was also facing this down-ballot collapse. Democrats were facing the potential loss of five, six, or seven Senate seats. They were not prepared to do that, even if they understood they might lose the presidency.
What you're seeing with these polls is certainly better than what they were doing with Biden. But the fundamentals of the presidential race remain the same, because what they were doing was running against the Biden-Harris presidency, for which Kamala Harris is just as responsible. If anything, Biden was able to present as much more moderate than Kamala Harris, who has this on-video record of being one of the most extreme hard-left Democratic nominees in the last 75 years.
This replacement of the actual person chosen by Democrat voters in their primary by someone who has run for president twice now and has yet to receive a single delegate -- it is not really about the presidential race ass it is about trying to save the Senate.

Harris, and her policies, are not forefront:
Defund the police, Hamas, Antifa, Illegals getting citizenship, social workers instead of police, equity=Reparations, equality (taxing working people), Green new deal (bankrupt the treasury), Inflation, and continued growth of Government. Supporting voter fraud=See Venezuela comments, deceptions (Biden medical problems), Government coverup, PRO-SLAVERY (keeping people in prison for prison labor after sentences completed) and MANY MANY MORE TO COME.
That list alone is going to cost them more than 6-7 Senate votes IMHO.

Don’t understand the complacency, that victory is a done deal for the Republicans. If she can win Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, Harris might be able to win. And those are blue states with fairly close polls. These elections usually come down to about 4 or 5 states and 40,000 or so votes. 15 million or so people have come into the country during Biden’s term. If 1% of them, 150,000 of them vote spread out over the right states, they win again. I wish Trump would quit saying he’s ahead by a lot and further throw a wet blanket on his base by insulting Pro-Lifers with little quips constantly.
In an honest election, Kamala’s chance of victory is zilch. However do not underestimate the Democrats, their dishonesty, ruthlessness, ingenuity, propaganda expertise, or anything else. They are experts at election fraud, and the praetorian news media and deep state are more than willing to help them succeed at it.

There’s no “might”. If Trump loses MI, WI & PA, it’s over unless he offsets a large part of that disaster with some major upset elsewhere, which isn’t going to happen.
Assuming all of the non-swing-states go as expected, if Trump loses MI and WI he MUST have PA — plus Georgia or the combo of Arizona + Nevada.
This also assumes nothing hinky happens somewhere like North Carolina, which delusionals classify as a 100% certain Trump win when it really is actually a swing state. Just not AS “swingy” as places like PA and AZ.

but Ineligible Harris is one of the very worst selections they could make. Biden’s mental health issue was losing D votes, as was his pro=Arabterrorist bullshit. But, he isn’t actively hated, despised among D voters the way Harris (or Schumer or Hilliary or a few others) are.
In simplest terms, Biden was losing D voter interest while Harris is actively repelling D voters outright.
I just hope they really do keep pushing a Harris candidacy instead of getting smart (they aren’t usually stupid, whatever else they may be) getting smart and finding a couple of plausible new candidates that could run without the poisonous baggage Harris has ..... (maybe a couple of political novices from the sports or entertainment world, or?)
You’re correct. If she wins Mi, Wi, and Pa, she wins. They’re reliably blue states and the polls are close. Why does Trump keep saying he’s ahead by a lot? I suspect he’s in a bit of denial about all the dumb, easily conditionable phone zombies in blue states.
So according to Molly Hemingway, running the idiot, deep-state puppet Kamala, will still lose Democrats the Presidency, but it will somehow protect their Senate and Congressional chances.
