ans at the "Simpsons" panel at San Diego Comic-Con received an unexpected surprise Saturday when creator Matt Groening shared a video from Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris, a self-described "superfan" of the series.
In the clip, Harris laughed and said, "We must move forward, not backward; upward, not forward; and always twirling, twirling, twirling towards freedom" -- a quote from the Oct. 1996 episode "Treehouse of Horror VII," which originally aired before the election between Bill Clinton and Bob Dole.
The appearance was fitting. In recent days, social media users have compared Harris to Lisa Simpson, and in particular the 2000 episode "Bart to the Future" in which she succeeds Donald Trump as President of the United States.

Twirling, Twirling, Twirling Towards Freedom! (The Simpsons)
Wow… the manufactured hype for this harlot is off the scale…
a political cartoon of Kamala and Homer should suffice
Totalitarianism.
Government, entertainment, media all one.
What’s really funny is nobody really watches the Simpson’s anymore but their creator Matt Groenig was the one named by Jeffrey Epstein’s girl as liking the crust cleaned out of his toes by girls with braces
Where did you see that?
Groening has always been an ultra-hard-leftie. It’s why I stopped watching The Simpsons way back in the 90’s.
I would highly recommend you research Matt Groenig and Jeffrey Epstein you’ll never be able to look at the Simpsons the same way again
Yes, many of the writers probably aren't conservative, but that message doesn't always transfer. The writer who wrote the most episodes, John Schwartzwelder, is said to be a right wing crank.
They bashed Clinton several times. The had a gonzo anti-big government episode about the screamapillar. ('Reversal of Freedom Act.) Oh, and an episode about a feminist school administrator school by sex. So, it's definitely not all leftist.
The funny thing is that Groening refused to get rid of the Indian character Apu, who was voiced by a white man, but Fox eventually took it out of his hands.
The Simpsons Movie was great, took a lot of shots at the EPA.
Actually it was either Kang or Kronos, the frequent aliens in the show.
In the body of Bill Clinton.
