I couldn’t agree more. The reason Obama got elected is he stood for nothing. Everyone would project on his blank screen whatever they wanted. Hardcore political types weren’t fooled, but there aren’t enough of the type to sway anything. It’s a difficult tightrope to walk. And it’s the reason so many political answers have to be sentence diagrammed to figure out, what, if anything the candidate said. Notice that anyone coming from a “known” political background, such as, say, Catholic, are vilified as being radical extremists.
It’s up to republicans to vet her and get it to the media. Democrats are certainly vetting Vance as they should be. That’s what elections are about. Republicans are lazy and don’t want to do the work.

Obama had an enormous advantage due to the positive coverage by the mainstream media. And he was still a politican when he was in his first term. Biden is a different story because he's a puppet.
