At work meetings we listened to all the issues raised by the gloom and doomers and put them on the white board.
Then we kicked them out of the room and kicked them out of the project team—and the rest of us worked the problems and got the project done.
It is amazing what homo sapiens can accomplish when the negative nellies are not in the room.
P.S. When word spread of our “impossible” accomplishments the negative folks would ask us how we did it.

When you live in a state like mine (CT) there is nowhere to go but up....that explains my sunny and positive attitude.
