The ongoing controversy surrounding diversity, equity and inclusion has spilled over into the 2024 presidential race with Vice President Kamala Harris on the path to becoming the Democratic nominee.
Earlier this week, Tennessee Republican Rep. Tim Burchett suggested in an interview with CNN’s Manu Raju that President Joe Biden chose Harris as a running mate because she was a Black woman.
“100% she is a DEI hire,” Burchett said.
Supporters have defended Harris, who, if elected, would become the nation’s first female president.
In an interview with CNN’s Wolf Blitzer, UN ambassador Susan Rice called the attacks from Republicans “extremely offensive and dehumanizing.”
Rice said the attacks insinuate that people from marginalized groups who achieve success or rise to leadership roles didn’t earn it.
“That is incredibly insulting,” Rice said........
CNN interviewed seven DEI experts and industry leaders and asked each to define diversity, equity and inclusion. Although their responses varied slightly, most had a shared vision for what constitutes DEI:
– Diversity is embracing the differences everyone brings to the table, whether it’s someone’s race, age, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, physical ability or other aspects of social identity.
– Equity is treating everyone fairly and providing equal opportunities.
– Inclusion is respecting everyone’s voice and creating a culture where people from all backgrounds feel encouraged to express their ideas and perspectives......
“DEI is just another word for racism. Shame on anyone who uses it,” Musk wrote in his post.

Probably an undergraduate degree in it by now and job opportunities for the DEI Czar overseeing compliance.
Already diversity offices with chief of diversity. Like global warming morphing into climate change the diversity field is evolving and expanding.
I think we understand Didn’t Earn It just fine.
You notice that they don’t mention competence, knowledge, experience, wisdom, skill or talent?
Experts? Really. DEI negates expertise.
She was specifically hired because she was black and female. She checked two dei boxes.

Well, it wasnt too hard to do since Harris is already extremely
offensive and is a Democrat struggling to be “human.”
Not at all understood. I understood it when a nonprofit I had volunteered and served on Board for over 15 years decided to hire a DEI…which they called EID…advisor after the George Floyd BS. Mind you we…the executive committee never voted to approve the exorbitant fees of this person… she worked with Google and consulting her side gig. Looks like that is the Demorat way!

As CNN no doubt knows, their “experts” are essentially DEI advocates and cannot be relied on for an honest and rounded assessment of DEI. Moreover, when the fog of propaganda over good intentions is penetrated to what DEI actually is in practice, it is revealed as Marxist grievance mongering so as to justify illegal hostility and discrimination against straight white men.
True. Before her name was selected she had to be a black and a woman as Biden said.
That brings out the “does she belong here” that the MSNBC and other women were complaining about.
If you want to be take seriously then don’t have someone say “In order to meet the quota we are forced to take-——your name here——as you meet the quota requirements. You will have a promotion in 60 days as well.”
Experts are apparently people not ashamed to demonstrate their outright stupidity using all means to communicate it.
In fact, you have to marvel at the skill they possess in spreading evidence of their state of mind.
Biden openly picked her as a DEI choice. He celebrated this just a couple months ago in May. Kamala Harris is a DEI choice, not a merit choice. That’s not racist or sexist, it is simply the truth.
DEI means whatever the Leftists want it to mean. Which also means that whatever the Right thinks it means, the Left will say it’s wrong.
