His handlers have probably already suggested that it wouldn’t be a great idea with some innocent comment like “It wouldn’t be good to be the next JFK.”

In a single sentence, NBC has four quite likely deceptions.
Will Joe actually be speaking in prime time or will it have been recorded earlier?
Will he be speaking from the actual Oval Office or from his fake oval office movie set in some other part of the White House?
The word “discuss“ implies a back-and-forth conversation. I doubt there will be any back-and-forth with the press or anyone else
“His” decision… Was it really his decision?
Based on the WH press conference saying Biden would explain it had “nothing to do with his health” and is only about what’s best for the country, he will say he dropped out because it’s time for his (and Trump’s) generation to step aside for Gen X. It’s time for old white men (also Trump) to make room for younger, more diverse leaders like Harris. Trump, simply by running, is an old, racist, misogynistic, toxic white man wanting to take us back to the pre-suffrage Jim Crow era. It’s the “OK Boomer Gambit”.
Harris is a long time member of the Obama cartel.
They’ve planned for a long time to put her or Michelle Obama in.
Michele Obama apparently didn’t want to, so Harris ran for Senate.
The plan for her to run and win in 2020.
But Harris could get no traction at all and didn’t even make it to the primaries.
So they picked her as Biden’s running mate.
The idea to replace Biden after two years in office.
They almost did, remember that’s when the reports of Biden’s classified documents began.
I think Jill Biden fought against it and they’ve bided their time until now.
