WASHINGTON — In his first memoir, President Joe Biden reflected on what at the time was the most searing moment of his political career. He had withdrawn from his first presidential campaign in disgrace, driven out by charges of plagiarism.
Now, some 37 years after that flameout, Biden’s epitaph weighed heavily as he made surely the hardest political decision of his long career in Washington to give up the presidency after just one term and end his bid for reelection.
As he sat in isolation with COVID at his Delaware beach house these past few days, hacking and hacked off, Biden certainly did not want to go out without a fight. His Irish was up, as he would put it, about all those allies pressuring him to step down out of concern that he was too old to win the race. But at the end of the day, he was convinced that even at this late hour, his legacy would be enhanced by making the ultimate political sacrifice rather than be the president who allowed Donald Trump back into the White House.
But of course, Biden’s place in the history books is not yet fully written. He has six months more in office with two wars overseas to manage and an election to preside over here at home. While he will not be on the ballot himself, leaving the mission to Harris, he still may be held responsible if Trump wins again, an outcome Democrats and many others consider a danger to the country.

His arrogant, boisterous, deceptive, deranged, demented, criminal history. FJB and his enablers.
He’s most likely in the final days of his functioning life. All the false superlative accolades are gushing forth as one sees at a memorial service. If he was so great, why wait till now?
Hollywood sometimes puts out a celebration of some stars life accomplishments and honors them a lifetime achievement award before that star succumbs to an illness...same with Biden. IMHO
No way Biden himself wrote this
in light of current events.
The President who ruined America and hopes for reviving its Greatness again.
nice to conjure up a fairytale life of a despicable treasonous lying criminal
A bitter old man whose boss said ‘punish your enemies’ in a rather gleeful demeanor. Still riding his pony.
He should also be run out of office and treated fair lawfulness.

Barf. Bigly.
We can call it the night of the long knives part II. Biden’s legacy will be as the worst and most corrupt president in American history. Joe was hacking, he is a hack.
He has his legacy as the worst most destructive president ever, period.
Agree

“All the false superlative accolades are gushing forth...”
That is becoming part of the campaign spin.
His legacy will be emblazoned across history for being so destructive for the nation.
There no amount of re-writing that can change the total disaster the Biden Presidency was.
This statement of the article confirms what we already knew: Biden is a political HACK!!
Now they want to make a hero out of a fool.
Phew what a load of BS. “Brave” Joe made no decision. Pelosi and Schmukie held him over the cliff and said quit or we drop you.
