Defining the job of a parent is easy...
My sons wanted both piercings and tattoo’s.

I told them, “My job, as a parent, is to turn over to you, at age 18, an intact, unmarked body to do with as you please”.
Your son and or daughter is just that until he or she reaches 18.
Then it becomes their decision.
