He will use Vance for the 50 state sweep due to big bucks flowing in from Silicon Valley.

Trump has a history of making bad staff choices.

Watch this video in the link below and see if Vivek doesn’t have the blueprint for the future of America.

Why Vance instead of Vivek?

Maybe because Vance rogered up and said that he was wrong about Trump.

You are allowed to admit to being wrong. More people should try doing it. It's better than doubling down on being wrong.

A Loving and Purposeful God is in Control

July 19, 2024 | Sundance

All praise be to God.

Everything previously written is accurate, eerily so.

Dr Ben Carson was not a consideration for VP due to his physical condition. Ben Carson is literally too frail, physically incapable of being considered for VP. He’s really aging quickly. It is very obvious in person, not on media. He has exactly the perfect mindset but is physically incapable.  Pray for Dr Carson.

President Donald Trump is focused on winning the 2024 race, whatever it takes. Only focus = November.

The principal saw JD Vance as the best shot to unite the clans and strategically ward off the incoming age issue – which will be created by Newsom potentially replacing Biden. [Very strong potential]

Clans include factions of billionaires.

Unite Clans. Win in November. Use Vance as a tool toward that objective. Then manage him from 2025 forward. That’s it. Nothing more. He knows.

Barron was not at convention.

The queen is the strongest chess piece and guards the king.

Pray for them.

The Trump campaign announced in May that Barron would be a Florida delegate at the RNC convention, alongside siblings Donald Jr., Eric, Ivanka and Tiffany. But Melania Trump quickly issued a statement saying their youngest son was unavailable. [LINK]

Love to all.

Fwiw , I thought Trump was a fraud in 2016. I liked everything he said, it thought he was a NyC liberal playacting.

It was literally the incessant media attacks (and his actual policies and performance) that converted me from a skeptic to a hard core Trumpster.

So I get where Vance comes from on this.

“If Vance gets his way, tariffs are the future.”

With a 25% tariff, consumer prices might rise 25%.

I would prefer a restricted/blocked currency.

ICE engines made and assembled in the USA might be swapped for auto parts made in Mexico.

Microprocessors made in the USA might be swapped for PCs made using some of those microprocessors and Chinese-made accessory parts.

$10 billion USA microprocessors -> China
$10 billion Chinese PCs($5 billion of those microprocessors+ $5 billion Chinese PC parts & assembly work) -> USA

The USA would no longer be a SWIFT participant.

Timely Departure Act

This bill requires certain nonimmigrants to secure a visa with a bond.

Under the bill, an applicant for a covered visa category must provide a bond (or cash payment) of at least $5,000 and no more than $15,000 according to rules to be established by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Covered visa categories include those for visitors for business or pleasure and exclude those for foreign government officials and crime victims. The bill also specifies that a nonimmigrant seeking asylum or withholding of removal while present in the United States must apply for asylum or withholding of removal by the expiration date on their visa to remain eligible for asylum or withholding of removal.

The bill provides that a covered nonimmigrant who overstays the term of their visa forfeits the full bond, is subject to removal, and is ineligible for any lawful immigration status (including adjustment of status) for at least 4 years and up to 12 years. Forfeited amounts may be used solely for detention facilities for non-U.S. nationals (aliens under federal law) and international transportation for non-U.S. nationals ordered removed from the United States.

The bill specifies that DHS, in implementing this bill, may only issue rules regarding (1) the collection and retention of bonds and cash payments, (2) the notification of the Attorney General regarding a nonimmigrant’s failure to timely depart, and (3) preventing the circumvention of the bond requirement.

Maybe because of this from 2022:

“I regret being wrong about the guy,” Vance said about Trump several days later on the campaign trail. “I think he was a good president, I think he made a lot of good decisions for people, and I think he took a lot of flak.” He later added: “He’s the best president of my lifetime.”

I cannot read the whole essay unless I "register."

Not going to do that.

Can someone provide the exact Hitler quote, the date, and the exact context?

Thank you!

I just finished "Hillbilly Elegy" for the second time and if it is even close to true (I believe it is), it reveals a guy who has no problem with learning from the school of life.

I think he told the truth when he said he changed his mind . . . . I think he did and not for a phony political reason.

I was a Bawst'n transplant living in WV for about 4 years in the mid seventies and Mamaw is truly pictured, as I knew a number of West Virginian mamaws.

Many thoughtful comments. Strongest reason? Pragmatism. Vance is more than a candidate to deliver Ohio Which is probably not in doubt anyhow). JD is a regional powerhouse that can deliver the whole Rust Belt. Plus a military veteran. Young. A celebrity in his own right. But mostly a man whose story encompasses a region with several swing states. If you go back to read the transcript of his convention speech you’ll see that he mentioned Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Kentucky dozens of times. He has a presence in all of these places at one time or another.

“I go back and forth between thinking Trump is a cynical asshole like Nixon who wouldn’t be that bad (and might even prove useful) or that he’s America’s Hitler,” Vance texted to his room-mate in 2016 (who is now a Dem state representative in the South).

By ommiting portions, the quote is grossly mischaracterized.
