July 19 (Reuters) - A global tech outage was disrupting operations across multiple industries on Friday, with airlines halting flights, some broadcasters off air and services from banking to healthcare hit by system problems. While major U.S. airlines - American Airlines (AAL.O), opens new tab, Delta Airlines (DAL.N), opens new tab and United Airlines (UAL.O), opens new tab - grounded flights, other carriers and airports around the world reported delays and disruptions early on Friday.
Banks and financial services firms from Australia to India and Germany warned customers of disruptions. In Britain, booking systems used by doctors were offline, multiple reports from medical officials on X said, while Sky News, one of the country's major news broadcasters was off air, apologising for being unable to transmit live, and soccer club Manchester United said on X that it had to postpone a scheduled release of tickets.

Wow! That’s interesting to know. And no one knows how to locate and retrieve paper copies of anything. Do they even have paper copies?
The Maricopa County Elections Department in Arizona reported the issue as early voting for the state primaries continues.
Voters are directed to a web page to find unaffected polling places.
Early primary voting has been open since July 3, with the official primary election on July 30.
These primaries will significantly impact the balance of power in the U.S. Senate and House, with key races including Kari Lake vs. Mark Lamb for the Senate and 6 Republicans vying to replace Debbie Lesko in the 8th Congressional District.
This country may not survive another election season of voting machine irregularities.

Possibly since man hours to manually get some systems up again are required for over 300,000 last I heard. That’s going to cost billions!
Talking wih a friend who’s company got a cyber attack awhile back....cost them $50,000 ad three days to get back up running.

Congratulation on the win! A good attorney has hard copies and makes sure the judge does as well if they think he might want one. Especially if it is an older judge who prefers reading from a hard copy. Nothing like scrambling in court while everyone is trying to find their copy of something online. That’s usually the moment the internet connection dies and the judge might just take opposing counsel’s word for the contents of the questioned document.
