Russia welcomes Vance’s views on Ukraine after Trump VP announcement

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on Wednesday welcomed Sen. JD Vance’s (Ohio) position on U.S. military and economic support for Ukraine following former President Trump’s announcement he tapped the Ohio lawmaker as his running mate.

“He’s in favor of peace, he’s in favor of ending the assistance that’s being provided and we can only welcome that because that’s what we need — to stop pumping Ukraine full of weapons and then the war will end,” Lavrov said in a press conference Wednesday, according to a translation by Reuters.

Vance has repeatedly expressed concerns about continued U.S. military and financial support for Ukraine in its fight against Russia. He once said he doesn’t “care what happens to Ukraine one way or the other.”

The Ohio Republican has raised doubt the U.S. can carry on support to Ukraine, arguing the U.S. does not build enough munitions to sustain the level of assistance currently being given to Kyiv.

“We will work with any American leader, we will remain ready to work with any U.S. leader, who the U.S. people elect,” Lavrov said, if the leader is “willing to engage in equitable, mutually respectful dialogue,” per Reuters.

The US has but a few Strategic Imperatives: 1. Close the border and expel the illegals 2. Protect the Pacific Rim from China 3. Detente with Russia

Ukraine doesn't embody ANY real US interest.

Somewhere he said something about wanting genuine allies not client states. Our warmongering deepstate NATO expansionaries want good client states, like Ukraine, bought and paid for with lots of US Treasury counterfeit cash.

Which is the calculus that anyone not a hard core Zeeper can do in his head with the 1/2 a brain cell none of our Zeepers have. Since it doesn't embody and real US interest, much less a vital national interest, our blandishiments are either hallow, or the words of madmen and strategic idiots. Part of the retreat from globalism is learning that Washington DC is responsible for governing the US according to the US constitution, not ruling the whole world, which they have been doing so poor a job of that the rest of the world, absent paid off stooges, cheer our comeupances.

Not a traitor. But definitely a Russian stooge.

The USA needs to apologize to Ukraine and Russia, for US establishment neocons’ encouraging and enabling them to go to war. The USA needs to help pay for Ukraine’s reconstruction when this war is over.

So many people are acting as if Ukraine is the most burning issue for the U.S.

But it’s not even close. There are much, much higher priority issues with all of the destruction Biden and the Democrats have foisted upon our nation.

Let Europe take care of European problems.

Yes, sad to say, the Russian Derangement Syndrome, created by the Demoncrats, has yet to be fully eradicated.

Thank God some are waking up to senile Joe’s Ukie war. Good to see some solid leadership forming.

As for the Ukie war cheerleaders, your cries for war, war, war is finally dissipating, as it should. As this Ukie debacle wraps up, who next? China? We are all getting tired of the US’s forever wars.

This shows that - contrary to media propaganda - the LAST thing Russia wants is Trump as president again.
