The largest importer of US coal is now India.
Last Friday I was at the BNSF mainline crossing in Athol, ID.
I had to wait while a coal train went by going west. I assume it was on its way to Tacoma from Wyoming.
Just to the east of there sat an empty hopper car train pointed east. Ready to go back to Wyoming and get reloaded.
The point is that US coal is still getting burned. The TOTAL use of coal WORLDWIDE is still increasing. Developing countries like India, China and others will continue to burn coal to drive their economies.
The insane world is Net Zeroing itself to death for NOTHING while China laughs

You know, it’s a good thing the Paris climate accords doesn’t cover them.
Those coal companies in Wyoming are shipping their coal to China. Suppose China based coal plants have scrubbers installed?
