BREAKING - PunchBowl is reporting: Senate briefing on Trump rally shooting just concluded. Top lines, per 2 senators on the call:
—The shooter visited the rally site a few days in advance to scope it out —62 mins elapsed between the time the shooter was photographed as being suspicious and when he fired the shots —20 mins elapsed between the time he was spotted by snipers & when he fired the shots —FBI Director Wray said there’s no known foreign nexus but no established motive as of now. Shooter used encrypted comms and had little to no social media presence

Secret Service is briefing senators on a conference call—regarding the assassination attempt against President Trump.
So far they’re flooding us with details that aren’t all that helpful.
I have yet to hear them substantively address the failures that led to this tragedy
Grassley posted on X the whole meeting was a giant waste of time, learned nothing..was only allowed to ask pre selected questions, a total waste of time

BREAKING: Sources familiar with the call tell me that multiple senators were prohibited from asking any questions of the Secret Service during this call.
Senators Blackburn, Cruz, and Lee, among others, were left in the queue and not allowed to ask questions of the agency they fund and oversee.
This is not the America we knew.
“Little to no social media presence” is BS. Today’s 20 year olds are consumed by their phones and whatever’s “trending.” This investigation is compromised.
“Hey I have a question, did you order this?”
Feds “We cant answer that next question”
there is NO way that a 20 yr old does not have any social media, facebook, twitter, instagram, tiktok..20 yr olds are GLUED to their cell phones, it is impossible that this turd did not use social media..of course he did they wiped all communications
They KNEW he was scoping out the site several days before attack?
They should defund the SS. They can’t figure out who brought cocaine to the white house, can’t post officers on a sloped roof, and won’t answer questions.
You have to understand that “encrypted comms” means anything from WhatsApp on up the scale. Usually it’s stuff like WhatsApp or Protonmail
They’re not showing their hand.

I'll bet that means no "usual" SMS like Facebook or Instagram, but he probably had a Discord group, maybe used Snapchat, or on the dark web. Gen Z always has a presence, even the Amish figure out how to get around their prohibitions, that's what teens do.
Republicans fund the Alphabet Agencies every year.
The House of Representatives has the power of the purse. Defund until heads roll and a believable scenario is detailed.
All candidates should be using private security at this point anyway.
