They are very busy shredding documents and destroying computer files.
Then they have to create an official narrative (i.e., pack of lies) and make sure every other agency involved in the assassination plot is on board.
These things take time.
Are they still operating under Obama’s rules where documents are all put into electronic files so that even if paper records get shredded there is still a permanent record?
I’ve heard it said that the records that Jack Smith claimed Trump was trying to run off with were already actually automatically stored electronically so there was never any danger that they were going to be lost.
