Excuses excuses.... Congress needs to stop screwing around. Subpoena everyone from the SS that was there that day. And everyone up the chain of command. No excuses. And be ready to go for prison time immediately if they don’t comply. No second and third chances either. Until congress grows some balls then they will treated defiantly from now until the end of time. And quicker congress gets it done the more likely they are get some honest answers.

Why was Trump held upright and immobile for 1.5 minutes after a head shot - protecting his torso but leaving his head and face exposed for most of that time? Why didn't the SS turn Trump into a moving target, keeping him down and dragging him or overboarding him if necessary to mitigate risk of a possible accomplice? Were the agents That confident there was only one shooter??? Why did an agent break away to throw his shoe off the stage? enquiring minds want to know

It is becoming obvious that, at a minimum, the Regime allowed the shooting, and at worst, they participated in the assassination attempt.
We could save a lot of time and effort if we just locked up every senior official of these federal agencies and then investigated to determine if any of them were innocent and could therefore be released. I suspect the guard at the exit gate to that prison would be as bored as the Maytag repairman.
The House has the power of the budget. Propose moving the headquarters of the Secret Service to a small city in Alaska, Utah, or Wyoming and see what happens. Don’t change staffing levels or salaries, just make the political hacks not be able to live in the swamp with the rest of the deep state.

Republicans need to make the point from now to eternity that this was indistinguishable from a successful assassination attempt. If Trump’s head hadn’t moved, he’d be dead. The security service and the local police need to be treated with the same level of scrutiny and outrage as if it had been.
