Thanks, I just looked it up on Google Maps. There’s a park named for Martin Luther King at that corner.
In the 1960s my dad had a business a couple blocks from there. AS kids, we would run around that area, 8-10 years old, no parent. Today, I would NEVER go in that area.
I am guessing they had to assign police from out of city due to the convention. I can’t imagine what kind of police force Chicago will need during the commie convention.
They’re trying so hard to create a civil war....which would grant them control.
Due to the ongoing violence in America, especially in cities,
I think the news networks should have categories for stories like they do with lifestyles, pets in the news and sports.
Everyday urban shootings.
Political shootings.
Illegal alien shootings.
Shootings possibly connected to an Iranian threat.
The suspect was homeless.
I suspect nearly half the homeless today would have been legitimately institutionalized fifty years ago for severe mental illness.
Such institutionalization was beneficial to them as well as society as a whole.
I feel bad for those folk.
Another 40 per cent of the homeless are addicts whose addiction is being made worse by the stupid policies of local governments.
Leaving the other 20 per cent probably homeless for various reasons.
Explains a lot.
As always, take Rosa Parks Drive to John Lewis Freedom Parkway, stay to Malcolm X Road, cross the Whitney Young Bridge and park in the lot next to the Martin Luther King Park.ðïļð

I tried to look up the most recent shooting (Of a human) in my town. Apparently, there has never been one. At least I could not find a record of it nor anyone who recollects one.
The town was founded in 1898.
Current population is around 3000 souls.
It’s in Alaska so there is no shortage of guns.
It’s on an island.

Far enough to probably be unrelated to the convention.
