A “secret accomplice”?
Nah. This unpracticed amateur knew what type of rifle to use, what ammo to buy, knew how to use a rangefinder, knew how to take aim, breathe, and squeeze off 130 yard shots, knew that this was a largely unprotected event, knew that Trump’s main team was off in Pittsburgh covering FLOTUS, knew he had to buy a ladder, knew where to put the ladder, knew which building afforded the perfect sight he needed (even though there’s no indication he was there before on a scouting mission), knew there were no eyes in the water tower, knew there were going to be no cranes, heavy construction equipment or other barriers to his line of sight, knew that the outside perimeter was small. And many other things.
Accomplice? Nah, no way. He did it all by himself.
You got that right.
And there is no way that one of the Secret Service snipers in the building would have stepped out and taken the shots. They were told to stay in the building!
That list is impressive.
If he bought a ladder (and no one wondered why a dork was walking with a ladder and a rifle) he had to have planned that roof-—not dismayed that authorities would sweep it and station a cop on it as one past even where a cop was on each level of a city parking garage at a speaking event to make sure no one tried to come up and take a position with a weapon. He must have felt confident of it being safe or why buy a ladder and walk there from his vehicle?
Amazing he didn’t get a police uniform to wear and say “I’ve got this covered. Check the water tower.” to a real officer.
