Failed Trump Assassin Purchased Ladder and 50 Rounds of Ammo on the Morning of the Rally, According to New Report

Failed Trump assassin Thomas Matthew Crooks appears to have purchased the ladder he used to scale the building and 50 rounds of ammunition on the morning of the Butler, Pennsylvania, rally.

According to a report from CNN citing law enforcement officials, Crooks bought the ladder from Home Depot on the day he tried to assassinate Trump from the roof of a nearby building.

If this report is accurate and to be believed, Crooks may have made it past law enforcement and the Secret Service carrying a very tall ladder and used it to climb the building unnoticed.

CNN reports:

On Friday, he went to a shooting range where he was a member, and practiced firing, a law enforcement official told CNN. The next morning, Crooks went to a Home Depot, where he bought a five-foot ladder, and a gun store, where he purchased 50 rounds of ammunition, the official said.

Then, Crooks drove his Hyundai Sonata about an hour north, joining thousands of people from around the region who flocked to Trump’s rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. He parked the car outside the rally, with an improvised explosive device hidden in the trunk that was wired to a transmitter he carried, the official said. Then, investigators believe, he used his newly-bought ladder to scale a nearby building, and opened fire on the former president.

So the shooter purchased the ladder himself that morning at Home Depot.

Then he walked around with a ladder for about 30 minutes, and no one found that suspicious?

I guess we need background checks on ladder purchases now.

Curious how he could have known that he could get a rifle and a ladder past what should have been one of the most secure environments in the world . . .

People get to Trump rallies extremely early in the morning. What time was this man unnoticed while first carrying a ladder and then a rifle?

What’s in that picture is definitely not a 5 foot ladder. More like a 12 footer. Weighs about 40 lbs.

I am not buying this either. They can take receipts etc.

Moreover, there has to be some evidence of his decision to do this.

My question is how did he end up in that Blackrock ad?

I read that that ladder might have been placed there by the people investigating the shooting. …. Which investigation IMHO might be more accurately called a cover-up

Odd he bought 50 rounds of 5.56 ammo. Usually those are sold in boxes of 20.

All white males who purchase a ladder must be reported!

Should be a 24-hour rule....you order the ladder...wait till the next day to pick it up.

The story about the cop being ‘hoisted up’ by his cop buddy would jive better if it was originally a 5 ft ladder.

“My question is how did he end up in that Blackrock ad?”

Blackrock filmed an ad featuring a teacher, he was one of the students in the background.

At this rate, we'll probably soon find out he had a sleep-over with the Trump detail Secret Service Agents, they combed each-others' hair, and watched re-runs of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" together.

Inside job. It’s becoming more and more obvious.

That guy wasn’t that stupid and had to get the message to go ahead with the dirty deed.

Has anyone heard whether the company in the building he climbed was open for business that day?

The CIA cut a path to the building, and the SS loaded the mags, and advised him where they’d be inside the building that he’d take the shot from.
