It is really, really ironic that the DEI hire at the top of the SS is putting incompetent women (temporary help which perhaps hadn’t even been trained?) in full view of everybody so she can try to pull the “incompetence” excuse for what is very, very obviously a planned assassination aided by a SS not allowed to do their job and orders for local LE to “stand down”.

Three snipers - two on the roof behind Trump and one on the water tower - knew for 26 minutes that there was an armed assassin on that roof and did nothing to eliminate that assassin or to warn Trump not to go to the podium.
Also, that building was assigned to the SS to guard; they did so by having 3 snipers inside the building at ground level looking out of the windows. They saw this guy with his depth-finder looking for a way to climb the building and reported it to everybody.
As for the local LEO’s, they were told - against the protests of the sheriff - to stand down and not bring extra personnel and SWAT teams.
This was a very obvious planned assassination, with the SS there just for appearances while making sure the assassin would get his shots taken with a clear shot to Trump.

1. the “slope” on the AGR International building roof is maybe 1:12, which is nearly no slope at all ..
2. the wannabe killer had no problem with the “slope”
3. the counter-snipers behind Trump were setup on a roof with a STEEPER slope than the AGR International building
4. since when did SS snipers become able to operate only on flat roofs?

I was in DC in the days of the Vince Foster murder. Most Republicans were neck deep in the coverup. Privately they would admit they were terrified they could be next.
