Deace on Vance's Senate Seat
Twitter ^ | July 15, 2024 | Steve Deace

With the Vance selection as VP, permit me to be the first person to encourage Gov DeWine to appoint Vivek Ramaswamy to replace him in the Senate come January. Vivek clearly displayed during the presidential campaign his brilliance and understanding of many key issues. However, his lack of résumé politically didn’t allow him to catch on anywhere, except on this app. This would give him a chance to prove himself, and I am eager to see him put that brilliance to the test while actually helping to govern the country.

Everyone is excited at this prospect!
The only one that could stop this is Dewine himself. (Mike really knows those back room deals)
PS Trust but verify

Noooo. Vivek belongs in the cabinet. He has a far more important job ahead of him than being a senator.

He'd be the perfect choice and that's why DeWine won't appoint him.

I doubt he’s interested. He wants to be the center of attention, not just 1 of 100.

I had a cousin who was captured in the battle of Cloyd’s Farm in May 1864 and died as a POW in Camp Chase—he is buried there in Columbus. Probably been voting faithfully for the Democrats ever since 1865.

Cart before the horse...let’s make sure this vacancy will exist first for such an appointment to be made.

DeWine is term limited out in 2026. A new candidate will be needed for then.

“Doesn’t anybody think Vivek might become a cabinet position?”

How about the United States Department of the Interior that takes responsibility for administering U.S. federal lands. Through its Office of Law Enforcement & Security, the BLM functions as a federal law enforcement agency.

Hmmm, Building the border wall? Drill Baby Drill?

Please God, not Vivek. We’ve already got too many crooked con-men in the Senate.

Vivek would be a great senator. Intelligent, articulate, conservative, unwavering, loyal.

If Bernie Moreno beats Sherrod Brown, he could become the senior Senator just 17 days into his term.

Vivek and JD were Yale law classmates and one of JD’s 3 kids is named Vivek. So I presume the Ohio kids were good friends. IIRC whomever the RINO gov appoints has to run in a special election for the 26-28 part of JD term. Start Vivek in Cabinet then have him run in the midterm special election primary to replace the appointed RINO on a 2yr record and JD’s backing. If appointee does well, then stay in cabinet.

That 2 bit con man is a fraud from head to toe and should not be in any position of power.

That's why they are discussing making him a Republican Senator - he won't be in any position of power. :)

I actually think Burgum’s likely to get Interior.

Funny but the man should be nowhere. He’s a contemtable fraud from head to toe… sooner he’s gone the better.
