My favorite was Derek Jacoby’s for the BBC plays. He did the full four hours and it was ‘as written’... I think Jacoby brought out aspects of Hamlet that Shakespeare didn’t mean to be obscured so everytime I watch it I see it from a different angle.

I even watched “Scotland, PA” mostly because it was filmed locally.
