Dare I ask what form the proverbial 2x4 took for you?
Honestly, I don’t recall specifically. I was a Cruz supporter, voted for him in the primary. In fact, I was excited about being able to vote for him. But in Iowa, his campaign started unraveling, turning me off. I laugh about this now, but when Trump made that comment that he could shoot someone on 5th Avenue or some such...and would not lose his supporters, I swore to my son that there was no way I could EVER vote for him. Yet in about a month’s time, I came full circle and knew I wanted to go with the winner. Shoot, Cruz lost every county in SC to Trump, even in the upstate conservative counties. I’ve had my cringe moments with Trump, but he has my full support.
