I think Trump's response - fist in the air, "Fight, fight, fight", defiance, pluck, rage, shock - whatever you want to call it ... will hold great appeal for those typically Democrat constituents - I'm looking at you, black and brown brethren - who hold machismo in high esteem.
I also think a great many Americans LOATHE mealy-mouthed passive politician-speak, which Trump does not do, and that's another part of his appeal. I for one am sick to death of word salad pols who use a lot of words to say precisely nothing of value.
