Earlier reports about this say that Trump is dropping the heavy attacks on Biden and is going with this unity blah blah blah as it will appeal to women and moderates.
And Trump is right. Why focus on Biden anymore? He is toast. He’s done. Over. He needs to pack up this week and book a nice room in the memory care unit of a good nursing home.
Trump is learning here. Being bombastic all the time is not necessary.

Trump is doing the smart thing. IMHO he’ll use the word “unity” as a weapon against the left to win the middle. I’d say the article above bears that out.
It means he gets the high ground and “gets there first.” Now when Biden tries it it will seem like he has nothing new to offer.

“Unifying” the country takes the issue away from Democrats. Completely invalidates it with his own calming words and bandaged ear. His bravery, defiance and willingness to fight is right there on his ear for all to see. It will pull in independents and some Democrat holdovers who are dissatisfied with Biden’s lousy performance on everything.
I wouldn’t change the speech too much. Biden’s speech yesterday didn’t sound very unifying.

Unifying the country will be an effect of implementing good ideas that make our country run better. People will be happier. Call it ‘unified’ if you like but it’s more precisely termed a ‘consensus’.

Trump needs to just do what's right - close the border, deport third world invaders, put a stop to anything associated with transgenderism in our government/military, and just do what's right, damn it!
