A senior House Democrat reportedly told Axios that many in Congress have resigned themselves to a second Trump term following an assassination attempt on the former president’s life this weekend.
While most lawmakers who spoke to Axios said that they could not make any proper predictions until after the Democratic National Convention, at least one senior leader believed that former President Donald Trump will win the election.
“We’ve all resigned ourselves to a second Trump presidency,” the lawmaker was quoted as saying.
This anonymous quote sparked numerous reactions on social media.
“If you’re a ‘senior Democrat’ that feels this way, you should absolutely retire and make space for true leadership that refuses to resign themselves to fascism. This kind of leadership is functionally useless to the American people. Retire,” said Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY).
“Beyond pathetic,” said Never Trump Republican Bill Kristol.
Aside from Trump, other congressional Democrats told Axios that the move to replace President Joe Biden as the nominee has likely ended due to the attempted assassination.
“Congressional Democrats’ all-consuming angst over President Biden’s candidacy has taken an abrupt backseat in lawmakers’ minds in the wake of an assassination attempt against former President Trump,” reported Axios.
Democrat lawmakers said in private they will be shifting priorities to their own security and that of their staff as opposed to settling political scores in the hopes of bringing the country to a calm.

Trump winning the presidency is not sufficient. He will need a majority in the House and in the Senate to try getting anything done. Rest assured the entrenched bureaucracy will hamstring his every effort to institute reforms and to isolate and prosecute the guilty.

My theory is that they will once again try to stack his administration with Neocons and Goldman-Sachs employees.
If I were Trump I would fire every appointed official. Then instead of trying to fill the positions, I would leave them vacant and ignore any regulations or rulings that came from the departments as having no official leader.
Focus on closing the border with military troops if necessary, turning down the heat on foreign wars, and giving domestic policy over to gridlock.
Feigning surrender is an obvious subterfuge.
It was obvious the last time.
My guess is Trump’s popularity exploded yesterday, and he is going to win on 11/5/2024 with a landslide, electoral college plus Senate and Congress. G-d just saved his life for his purpose. I’m gonna enjoy that night plus the next four years (plus lots more, as Republican popularity hits record levels).

My take—use every means and invent a few more to steal the election and start WW III to cover it up. Get Trump in a shooting war, that people will hate, start anti-war, anti-draft movements to unseat or force Trump to do a Nixon. Don’t dig too deep or the truth about a bunch of assassinations will come out.
