yep, Dad’s AR-15 isn’t the best sniper rifle in the world ... in most states it’s not even legal to use for hunting deer ...

good point ... and his subsequent hurried 2nd and 3rd shots were not the work of someone that knows how to target shoot ... the wannabe assassin was unable to pause long enough and reset himself and his sighting for his subsequent shots after his first shot missed, so he just wildly pulled the trigger a couple more times before he was blown away by the counter-sniper ...

all very good points ... wannabe assassin was likely an inexperienced target shooter, wildly rushing his 2nd and 3rd shots after the first missed .... a headshot was a mistake too ... i want to know who zeroed his rifle for 130-140 yards, and when and where it was zeroed ... i doubt Dad’s AR was assassin-ready at just that distance when taken out of the closet ...

I just got nauseous thinking of how close it was to a disaster.
I called it instantly and knew that was the picture that’ll go down. That’s a very good cover for them, no bias or anything at all.
I found that particular cover. It was undated. May have been a special issue. It's been a long time since I've researched magazine contents. Long as in it was on microfilm! IIRC, records show the published date, not the cover date.
I’m surprised they didn’t crop out the flag. The NYTs did to the same picture.
In his short, pathetic life Lee Harvey Oswald did two things successfully; He shot and killed President JFK, wounded the Governor of Texas John Connally and shot and killed Dallas Police Officer JD Tippit and he became a United States Marine. It's my understanding that you don't get "The Globe and Anchor by being a pretty good shot. You become a Marine by picking up that weapon and hitting the target. Oswald did that.

There was another one “shielding” him at the podium. Five guys as tall as Trump (6’4”) and one little chick that might be 5’5”. For a minute or two she provided the perfect, unobstructed head shot after the first one had already hit home. No DEI hack is that stupid. She was put on the team who’s number one job is to shield Trump in this exact situation for a reason.
With Trump, I would not guess a second gunman. But it seems like a relatively long shot for a 20-year old Leftist. Yeah, he missed, but he got darn close to a headshot on his first shot. That seems remarkable. Was this kid just a kid? Or is there more to it? I’ve seen some people say that he was not, in fact, a 20-year-old kid.>>>. Yes listen to the video. Exactly. Experienced shooters who consider 130 yards an easy shot (it is) are not shooting at a moving target. And it isn't entirely fair to say "missed", even - he did hit the target, just not where he wanted to. And Trump didn't have to move by much for that X-ring to become a 6.
We got lucky. Call it divine intervention if you like. I sure wouldn't try to talk anyone out of it.
I can easily hit, with iron sights, a target out to 500 yrds.
A scope makes it easier, faster and increases distance....
I hope they "undate" the Aug. 5 cover too. This is history in the making.
