TIME's new cover: Donald Trump survives shooting with nation on edge
(Excerpt) Read more at x.com ...
And it wasn’t an attack. It was an assasnination attempt.
Dont be gullible, they were part of the plan.
It was a fairly easy shot at 150 yards. To put it in perspective, army recruits shoot targets between 50 and 300 yards consistently, after just one day of rifle training. Its an absolute miracle he missed. In the JFK scenario, he was in a moving car - very different level of difficulty.
I think the witnesses who pointed him out and were yelling made him hurry - possibly saving the president’s liife.
He only missed because at the last second Trump crained his neck further.
I a, surprised they were allowed to publish that image or empven say he was shot.
ABC news. “Trump whisked away by secret service after disturbance at rally.”
CBS. “Trump taken away by SS after a fall at rally.”
CNN. “Trump refuses to call for lowering the temperature after political violence.”
Someone is getting fired at Time.
Good on her!
An iconic image.
This photo will be in history books for a very long time.
Will it change people’s mind, perhaps, what I think (hope) will happen is every time someone on the left claims Trump is the next “Hitler” or a “threat to our democracy” someone gets in their face and tell them to just shut up.
For a Marine, 130 yards is "bayonet range".
LOL, Yeah.
At 130 yards, the heartbeat arc is still within the black .
If Trump wasn't swiveling his head to keep referring to the electronic billboard showing the chart of illegal inflow over time, then he would most likely be dead right now.
That head turn right before the first shot put his right ear where the back of his skull had been a split second earlier.
Why is this cover dated August 5, 2024??
The shooting occurred on July 13, three weeks before Aug. 5.
A lot can happen between now and then--the GOP Convention, Trump's selection of a running mate, Biden's dropping out of the race.
In the Internet age, why do Time and other magazines insist on sticking to an outdated predated format? Doesn't make any sense to me.
In a hundred years from now, people will at the news from July 2024 and see nothing of one of the most notable events of the month, as if it had never happened. They will have to look at August's news to find out what occurred the month before.
Blood on their hands, the wretched bastards
They predicted the past far into the future.
What will they think of next?
Here is an experiment:
- While standing look over your right shoulder and place your right index finger on top of your right ear pointing backward (bullet direction).
- While holding your right hand and finger in place, turn your head to look forward.
- Now your index finger is pointing to the center mass of your head.
The president was lucky he turned his head.
Trump turned his head to the right, and the deadly head shot became an ear shot. This works best if the tip of your index finger is on the middle top of your ear.
Time uses the magazine "pull date" on its covers. Less important with fewer printed copies.
>>Here is an experiment:
BRILLIANT! I’d been trying to figure out what everyone was saying about the angle and I just couldn’t make it make sense. You clarified it all instantly.
A “good” out of the box hunting rifle has about a 2 to 3 Minute of Angle accuracy. At say 150 yard, that would put a bullet 3 to 4.5 inch circle, with no corrections for wind, elevation change, high stress caused human error, or a poor factory trigger.
The Assassin appears to have been going for a head-shot and not a center of mass shot, which may have helped save the life of Trump.
As someone who has shot Bench Rest, there are tricked out and custom rifles that have sub MOA accuracy with the “right” ammunition. I can hand load custom ammo that is very accurate for rifles I have customized. But, when multiple shots are fired, that will also change to point of impact from the point of aim.
Again, whether the would be Assassin was 138 yards or 148 yards away, I think that “the distance was special” in what is says about the gross lack of security, the likely quality of the rifle and ammo, and the factors that change the point of impact from the point of aim.
It is a blessing that Trump was not seriously injured. In time I hope we will learn more about the rifle, its ammo, which of the 3 to 5 shots hit Trump's ear, and the shooter's training. I also hope that there will be dramatic changes at the Secret Service.
Interesting.
Doesn't make sense nowadays, when everyone gets their news in real time.
It's also confusing for future researchers. For example, if you want to read about 9-11, you wouldn't see anything about it in the September 15 issue of news magazines, four days after the event happened. You'd have to look for the Sept 22 or 29 issue, long after the news actually occurred.
as much as they hate to, TIME was FORCED to put this image on their cover ...
“Isn’t that like praising a firefighting squad after it puts out a fire it accidentally started?”
totally ... either a monumental failure by an incompetent and corrupt secret service OR a deliberate conspiracy ... given the totality of the video and audio evidence, conspiracy looks to me more likely than incompetence ...
